jaemin awoke to the warm sun, the smiling boy from the flower shop on his mind as he slipped into his favourite hoodie
he ate his breakfast at a turtles pace with a faint smile on his lips, looking forward to the day
more specifically the walk back home past a certain flower shop
mrs watched in disbelief as her usually tired son come bounding out of the kitchen as if he had downed 5 of his coffee orders
speaking of coffee, jaemin decided that he would skip his typical order of death as he felt waves of energy rush through him
waving a quick goodbye to his still baffled he set out on his journey to school, humming to the music blasting through his earphones, carelessly walking on the edge of the footpath
cars passed dangerously close to the buzzing boy but he couldn't care less, he was determined to make today his day and get closer to
as he was scheming another boy joined him rushing onto the footpath who was in the process of simultaneously eating toast and buttoning his shirt
"hello huckleberry, had fun with marcus ?" jaemin sang, taking in the sunkissed boy's dishevelled appearance as he removed an earphone and turned down his eardrum bursting volume
donghyuck blushed, spinning to face the house he had left and waved at the window where a shirtless man stood, grinning and waving back at the boy
"what about you nana? any ideas on how to capture this jeno fella?" he shot back, curious to what his friend had formulated for the boy he had gushed about the prior night
jaemin just smiled and nodded
donghyuck's expression fell "but really, you should be careful. who knows what would have happened if he wasn't there"
jaemin shuddered at the thought, linking arms with his friend he smiled brightly "come on, let's not think about the what if's and help me get lee jeno instead"
donghyuck rolled his eyes at the beaming boy's enthusiasm but let himself be dragged towards the bustling high school anyway
