Ciara's mother scolded her for hours after the incident, without showing the tiniest amount of sympathy in her 'very special' day. The only few words that Ciara managed to let out were "Is it true?... Is daddy going to jail?... Is-" "Not if you keep your mouth shut nosy young lady. Now go to your room and forget every single thing you saw tonight." Her mother cut her off.

Ciara spent the whole night looking at the ceiling. She couldn't sleep, all she was thinking about was what happened earlier, and for a moment, just for a brief moment... She wished she could leave everything and fly away, she felt imprisoned, incarcerated and bonded to something she might never be able to escape from. That's when her demons started slowly haunting her, her world started compressing around her, darkness had started slowly eating her soul again and she couldn't do anything but watch it. Her sleeping schedule was becoming more of a mess and her eating habits were getting worse, at that point, someone had to tell her to eat or she wouldn't even touch food.

Since that day, Ciara's parents have been threatening to send her away just to keep her from revealing the family's little huge secret. The space between each member of the Lawson family was only getting larger and Ciara's mental-health has never been worse. She fell in love with darkness and gave up on being the first soul in the town to greet the sun, but deep down, her inner-self craved freedom and could neither stand staying at home nor waking up every morning to go to school. She was getting gloomier, grumpier and very difficult to deal with as time passed by.

Once she turned 18, Ciara's parents have decided to send her to a further university so she could start over, have a new beginning and create her own path. Ciara couldn't care less, she actually was happy to finally be able to go away and live on her own, she was so sick of the depressing and gloomy environment she's living in, she wasn't even close to her sister, she was always on her own imagining a perfect world where loneliness, selfishness, and injustice never existed.  She would sleep the whole day and stay awake at night. She loved nights, she thought they're beautiful, she loved that moment when everyone is sleeping and every device is off while she's lying on the bed watching the moon, she loved how the moonlight would rest on her face and body while she was listening to her favourite songs. That was her favourite moment of the entire day. it's like she had broken up with the warm sun only to become the moon's lover.

However, she loved the sunrise exceedingly to just move on and live without it, it was true love, so instead of being the first person to wake up and greet the sun, she never had to wake up for it anymore, by the time the sun rises, Ciara had always been awake and looking at the window of her room. She had a kind of unique yet sorrowful soul, she enjoyed loneliness and peace. She found beauty in sadness and relief in tears. She loved music so much and her only friend was her diary.

As she was ready to go, Ciara looked back at the small town she was leaving, Bibury wasn't just a small town she lived in, it was her whole life and she never imagined she'd leave her whole life behind. She looked back again one last time before she had to leave, and that's when she realized that her life has just begun.

Ciara finally landed in Paris but she had to take the train all the way to Colmar. An old town in France, she attended college out there. She had always had a thing for small towns, they made her feel safe and comfortable.

At first, everything was new to her. The people, the place, the streets, the food, just everything. She was amazed at how much of a beautiful country France is but something wasn't right. She had never dreamed of leaving her town, let alone leaving the whole country, how come she was not feeling anything when she finally got there? Why was she not excited? Or sad? What was going on? She didn't give these questions more time to ruin her journey to a completely new life full of adventures and experiences. She decided to leave everything behind, she was craving freedom. And she did feel free as soon as she stepped out of the train station.
