It's been more than 2 years since the serial killings that the FBI, National Guard & CIA called it "Shadowy Figures incident" or dubbed internationally known as "Shadow Incident" that claimed 25% of the victims of the September 11 attacks, roughly 749 people in San Francisco. The curfew has already been lifted 4 days later after the end of the incident on April 2019, and many people are beginning to recover from their mental issues sustained by the incident 2 years ago and are slowly returning to their normal selves. Everything was going normally for the city again, and since after the recovery and economic aid of the San Francisco Bay Area, the city became more bustling with activity. 2021 marks with the era of new technologies being invented and San Francisco became more technological, with newer vehicles for automated & self-drive and more, public transport has been revolutionized, and development and economic prosperity became vast.

Rick S. Hamilton, aged 47 on 2021, a Homicide Detective and Lieutenant of the San Francisco Police Department is currently looking at case files on his envelopes and then on his computer for the latest news about politics and crimes and information about wanted criminals. On break times, he would either get lunch by eating Salisbury steak with buttered corn, vegetables, and rice or he would simply eat flavor-filled doughnuts as either an appetizer, snack or dessert while listening to his radio. It was his favorite time and he enjoyed it. But throughout his entire work, he was becoming preoccupied and very concerned.

Earlier on the night of March 31, 2019, at the time during the Shadowy Figures incident that lasted for a month and a week, he had received a text message from an unknown sender, and a note from a person named Kirigaya Kazuto, warning of a potential, seriously catastrophic invasion that could cost billions of lives and cause trillions of dollars of damage than any major global wars from the 20th century, notably World War 1 & 2, combined. The one thing that worries the most is when will the invasion occur. With every year goes by and even in every New Year Holiday when his uncle and relatives visited him, he on the outside, feel happy and he enjoyed his lifetime experience and felt grateful about his life, but on the inside, his nerves and senses began to throb and rattle in fear and in most of the time, would always look out of the window in his house. The fact that is, he doesn't know when will this happen and as 2 years go by, he thought that 2021 or 2022 was the year of the invasion but he could not jump into conclusions in front of them, nor denying any of his possibilities and he literally didn't want to reveal his findings to the public, as it would cause a panic or riot in San Francisco.

But he also remembered when reading the last main part of the note...

"There is no imminent threat at this time and we will continue to deal with the situation secretly and we will keep our faces hidden until the right time, but I will meet you again in due time..."

He had no idea how can an average person with swords like Kirigaya can find him if Rick didn't tell him about his name, his house address or his work occupation.

All he can do now is to get back to work. Ross showed up a little over an hour later at 11:35 PM.

"What's up man?" he asked in a usual working mood.

"Nothing much... still being preoccupied, that's all" said Rick a bit glumly as he turned back slowly to eating his doughnuts.

Ross saw the donut box with sweet looking doughnuts that appeared that Rick bought these on high quality.
