Layla's P.O.V.

The next morning

I woke up and it was almost 10. I limped out into the hallway with some clothes. Emily helped put the dye in my hair then I got in the shower. I got out of the shower, wrapped myself up in a towel, then looked in the mirror. I looked pretty good with black hair.

I got dressed, but everything still hurt like hell, so i sat down on the toilet seat

I got dressed, but everything still hurt like hell, so i sat down on the toilet seat. I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." I saw Emily peak her head in.

"Do you need help?" She asked, tilting her head.

"Uh, yes please." She came in and helped me downstairs. She sat me down on the couch and brought me my shoes and helped me put them on. Then Luke came down the stairs and sat next to me.

"How you doing. Still hurting."

"Yeah, everything still hurts like hell." I tell him with a bit of anger in my voice.

"Well, at least it's better than being dead." He said with a slight chuckle.

"Yeah, I guess." Emily turned on the T.V. to the news. It showed my mother in tears and they were asking her if she had anyone in mind of who could've done it.

"Well, there is one person."

"Who would that be?"

"Her father."

I couldn't believe my ears. She said that he died along time ago, but then, how would he be able to do it. She lied to me, but why. I turned my attention back to the T.V.

"Tell me if I'm wrong, but, is it true that you told Layla that he was dead?"

"Yes, that is true, but it was to protect her. We told her that because her father was actually a murderer that got paid to kill people. We didn't want her to know because then she would try to find him. But one day i went into his office, and I saw that his next target was Layla, his own daughter. The first thing i did was called the police. I called my mother to come pick up Layla so she wouldn't ask questions. We told her the next day."

I couldn't believe it. My own father was going to kill me. I could feel hot tears threatening to fall from my eyes.

Breaking News

The body of Layla Phoenix has been stolen from the hospital. If you have any information let us know immediately. Police are checking the camera right know to figure out more.

Emily quickly shut the T.V. off and they both looked over at me. I didn't know what to think. My father never died, he tried to kill me, and people think that my body was stolen. Emily was the one to break the silence.

"What now? We can still try to go if you want-"

"Emily, are you crazy, what happens if you guys get caught and they find out that she's staying here. Do you know how much trouble we'll be in!" Luke stood up shouting at his sister.

"Well, we need to know what she needs so it would be best if she came with. Plus she looks different."

"You do realize that the only thing about her that changed was her hair right. What if you run into her friends there. They'll still be able able to recognize her and they'll probably freak out and tell someone. "Hey everyone look, my best friend is still alive when we thought she died." Then what, she still can hardly walk-"

"BOTH OF SHUT UP!"  I covered both my ears with my hands. They both sat down next to me without saying anything. "Thank you." I looked down at my feet and tried not to cry. I could feel hot tears threatening to fall from eyes. They both gave me hug and I just burst into tears, thinking of everything that i just found out. We just sat there on the couch, holding each other. When I stopped crying, i sat up and they let go. "We can probably still go to the store, but we should probably bring you with, just in case." I said, looking up at Luke.

"Alright then, lets's go."

705 words. Sorry it isn't very long, i didn't really have an idea for this chapter. And i'm sorry it took so long. I had to deal with school, and my computer was at my dads house. But hope you guys like it.
