For awhile I drove around aimlessly, jut trying to spot my friend. But then an idea came to me. The bridge! For some reason I had a feeling she would go there. I hoped and prayed I was right and now, with a destination in view, I drove.
As I turned around the corner right before the bridge my headlights shone on a silluet of a girl, not any girl. It was Emma.
Carefully I drove around her and as much as possible in front of her. Then I got out of the car and ran forwards towards her. From behind I grabbed her wrist and yanked her back.
We stumbled away from the edge of the bridge. It seemed like I had pulled her out of a trance.
When Emma turned around, her stares sent shivers down my back.
"Why? Why'd you stop me! You don't care you never have"
It hurt seeing my best friend scream at me, but when she suddenly broke into tears I forgot about it. Slowly I lead her back to the car while whispering things to her.
"Your parents, your brother, they love you more than you can imagine.""You are the best friend."
"I promise I will give you every reason to live. Jut give me time."
"I will always be there for you."
