A Quest Of A Lifetime

Chapter 8

-3 days later-
"are we there yet?" Blaze and Cyclone both whined "No." thunderstorm uttered walking past them. it has been  3 days since we began our quest and Gopal decided to join us to insure that all of us would go home safe, right now we were passing through the forbidden forest since Ying told us this was the shortest route "guys can we take a break?!" Fang whined "we can set camp here." I said, Gopal and Fang set up the tents while Blaze and Cyclone volunteered to go get firewood. when night fall after we cooked up dinner, it was Fang and Gopals turn to take watch.

-3rd persons view-

Fang and Gopal sat near the camp fire sword at their sides, they were bringing up random things to talk about until Fang heard a sound from behind them, he grabbed his sword and stood up "I'll go check it out, just stay here." Fang commanded and went to investigate to the cause of the sound, Gopal obliged and sat there waiting for Fang to come back suddenly the bushes rustled giving him goosebumps. out of curiosity he went to the bush only to see a girl same as his age crying  "Hey miss, why are you crying are you lost?!" he asked in a low tone, the girl wore a simple summer white dress, her hair was auburn brown with a flower crown on it.

He looked up to to Gopal while wipping her tears "Help me." she pleaded and hugged Gopal "what's wrong?" "A witch came into our house and killed my parents, Me and my siblings managed to run away but we got separated." she explained and sobbed"I can help you find your siblings, where did you guys get separated?" Gopal asked "I'll show you." She let go of him and grabbed his wrist "Come on." She urged and led him to a little clearing "So where?!" Gopal asked but stopped when the mysterious girl snapped her fingers and he faded.

Meanwhile 
Fang came back to the campsite but stopped in his tracks when he noticed Gopal wasn't there, he heard a scream who he knew belonged to his friend. Everyone went out of their tents some were still rubbing their eyes from sleep "what happened?!" Quake asked "I think it's Gopal." Fang replied as another scream was heard, they all dashed to the direction where the scream came from; only to see Gopal hanged upside down, gagged and below him was a boiling cauldron.

A group of girls surrounding him when they notice our heroes presence they turned to look at them "who dares disturb our sacred feast?!?" they screeched "who you call sacred feast is our friend and if you are so kind can you let him go, we promise we won't harm any of you." Quake informed, the girls laughed "you cannot stop us puny mortal." one girl proclaimed and all of them started changing.

"Uhmmm... guys what are they?!" Thunderstorm demanded as he readied his lightning sword "they're called Nidalee; creatures who can shape shiftinto anything they desire." Ying replied, the girls had successfully turned into wolves. each one of them readied their weapons as the wolves bared their teeth and pounced "lightning sword." Thunderstorm strike a wolf but she managed to doge away "Cyclone disks." Cyclone attacked the wolf infront of him but the wolf kept evading his attacks, Fang was untying Gopal "Guys I have an idea." Quake proclaimed 

"Then spill it out." Thunderstorm grumbled dodging a wolf "Cyclone use your Cyclone tornado." Quake commanded and Cyclone obliged, the tornado bundled all the wolves together "Thunderstorm use your lightning to give them a little shock." thunderstorm followed and all the wolves were paralyzed "Ice your turn." Ice nodded while raising his artic cannon "Ice blast." the wolves were now frozen cubes, Fang tapped the ice cubes "Well we wont see them anytime soon." he uttered while Ying looked around nervously '"Your majesties we should go, we don't want to meet their other friends right?!" Everyone nodded while going back to the camp to tidy up, Gopal however just sat at the side still trying to process what just happened.
