I pulled him down and kissed him. Austin was surprised at first, gave a little yelp. I pulled back, just a bit and whispered,"Play along, he might just go away." And I kissed him again, he kissed me back. It felt good. Like, really good.
A million thoughts hit my mind.
Justin wouldn't like this, I know he wouldn't. He might not even want to talk to me anymore. Oh no, I guess I shouldn't have kissed Austin. Quickly, I pulled back and looked to my right. John had left.
"Sorry about that," I told Austin, my cheeks burning.
"Its ok." He was blushing too. He buried his hands deep in pockets,"Lets go?"
"Yeah, lets go." I said.
We didn't talk much at all on the way home, there was an awkward silence.
Before I opened the gate to my house, he said,"So you'll come over in..."
"Half an hour. Bye." I went inside.
"Bye." He waved and went home.
As I closed my room door behind me, I almost burst into tears. What would Justin say?
Suddenly my phone rang. I jumped at the sound. It was him. I pulled myself together, and picked it up.
"Hey baby whats up?" I said, as cheerfully as possible.
"Can't stop thinking about you. I miss you so much!"
"Me too. How was your day? The show?"
"It went great. How 'bout you? How was school?"
I wanted to say great, but I couldn't,"Horrible."
"Why? What happened baby?"
"Well, its a long story, and I know you'll be angry if I tell you..."
"I won't get angry, tell me."
So I told him about John as the new student, what had happened last year, Alex's idea, and then the walk home.
"Then what?" He asked.
"IkissedAustintogetridofhim." I said super fast.
"What?" Then his end went silent.
"Justin, I'm really sorry, I know I shouldn't have, but I had to. As far as I know John, he won't try to ask me out again." I quickly said.
"Give me a moment." He said softly.
Oh no,"Okay." I said.
Almost immediately, he said,"A moments over, I'm gonna let this pass. I love you, babe, and I trust you. I know you wouldn't do it all to hurt me."
I broke into a grin,"I knew you'd say that. Justin come home, quick. Please."
"I will baby, you know I'm coming in December."
"Thats two more months! I miss you, a lot."
"I miss you too, Just a sec, babe." He said,"Yeah, what? Ok I'll be there in two. I've gotta go."
"Ok, I love you. Bye."
"I love you too, I'll call later." And he put the phone down.
Now, I had to go to Austins place.
I changed into jeans and a pale pink oversized tshirt, grabbed my phone and books and went downstairs.
I rang the doorbell at his place, he opened it.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey," I went inside, and we went up to his room. He sat down at his study table by the window, I pulled up a chair.
"Where should we start?" I asked.
"I can't, like, solve these type of things." He showed me an algebraic equation.
So I showed him how to.
“Try this one." I said. He started to solve, and I opened my books and started my homework.
"Is it right?"he asked me. I checked it,"Yeah, it is. Try the next one." I went back to my work."Um, Austin?" I said.
"Yeah?" He asked, looking up.
"I'm sorry about that kiss." I said, looking down.
"I said its ok. To be honest, I liked it." He blushed and went back to his work.
My eyebrows raised,"Oh..." I said softly. How many times have I blushed today? Add one more to whatever number it is. I went back to my fractions.
"I don't think this is right, is it?" He asked.
"Huh? Oh, wait let me see," I checked the sum, avoiding his gaze, which I could feel on my face,"Yeah, you're getting better. Its right."

After our math was done, I went home and called Alex, something was troubling me, I had to get it cleared.
"Alex, whats up with Austin?" I demanded.
"Why? Whats wrong?" He asked.
I told him what happened on the way home-the kiss, then he acted weird, he said he liked it. I told him about the many other times he acted weird whenever Justin was there, or I mentioned him. When I was done, Alex just laughed,"Don't you understand? Its pretty obvious."
"No I don't," I snapped back,"thats why I'm asking you."
"Well, hes jealous..." He said.
"Jealous of what? Who?" I asked.
"Of Justin. Alex, don't you see? He loves you!"
