Regular customers have a special place in our hearts. They become friends, an extended part of our identity. You end up feeling belonged and knowing their stories - how their day had been, their plans for the evening, their current state of mood based on the drinks they order and the atmosphere they bring: laughter over friendship and coffee.

Sometimes, you are the missing link when they needed the added zing in their lives.

And then there are the irregular customers. Entitled and demanding, who treats us little less than humans. Who treats our beloved regulars atrociously, putting their used plates on trays on their tables for only ordering a basic cup of whatever caffeine. Though the irregulars order more expensive large drink of something, and expensive food items... but lining up properly and and waiting for that caffeine or cream based brew is something free that they never do.

Going back to the regulars, they sometimes come in bad moods but it is always good to serve them: a cup of latte, a cup of soy latte, a mocha frappe, and a one shot decaf and two shots grande Americano to cheer them up. These cups can be life changing, earning them a promotion, a recognition, a big break and a relocation - a food to any barista's soul.
