John's things are packed, minimally though a small rucksack for his gadgets and clothes of two days worth. Exit immigration cleared and health checks negative of diseases.

"Lunch is ready" John turned on some music 'New World' by Bertysolo.

Millie is ready too, "they should be coming soon. I hope they will love this place".

"This was our home, don't get too attached" John gave her the heads up.

"Who are the viewers" Millie helped John set the table. "Two expat friends one from New York the other from England... one working for public health and the other an artist and a writer" John had met the friends in the airport lounge.

The doorbell rang, and John answered the door with a genuine smile.

"Hi I'm Katie and I'm Claire, we met the other day and we said we are interested to lease the loft" introducing themselves and Katie took the lead.

They were welcomed inside, "do you want to take a tour first before lunch or do you want the other way around" Millie liked them. "Tour first if you don't mind thanks" Claire politely asked.

Millie showed them the upper floor, her spacious bedroom and the masters bedroom with en-suite pad and walk-in closet which is John's room. They headed downstairs for the floor to ceiling glass wall living room overlooking the city. The kitchen with their beloved Keurig, the bar table with chairs, the maids room with bathroom, the spacious storage room, the laundry room, and the dining area where lunch is served.

The arts and science duo were impressed, "we want this" the best friends were eager to move in immediately which means lesser head ache for John and Millie.

"Take care of Keurig. It's our gift to you" John opened the door, left 38D and Millie took a last glimpse of her now past and smiled warmly to the two new residents of loft apartment 38D.
