"He's not here," I said, immediately starting to freak out.
"What do you mean he's not here!?" Falvia asked.
"I mean he's NOT. HERE. FALVIA." I said, running my hands over my face. "Where the fuck did he go?"
"Maybe he went into the portal before they closed it?" Bryan asked, his tone a little shaken up.
Falvia blinked, looking numb.
My eyes widened, "I have to go and inform my father," I said and immediately ran to the entrance of the forest, ignoring Falvia's calls after me.
I reached the Air Tribe in a matter of minutes and sprinted to my house. "FATHER!" I yelled as soon as I stepped in.
"FLAVIAN, ARE YOU OKAY?" Father's voice immediately replied from upstairs. He came downstairs and sighed in relief when he saw me. "You scared the life out of me, where is your brother?"
I stared at him, not saying anything. I was too afraid to tell him, I knew he was going to freak out. "Flavian, where is Stavros?" he asked again, his tone worried.
I said nothing. I seemed to have lost my voice.
"ANSWER ME, FLAVIAN!" Father yelled. I didn't know where he is.
"He's not here, Father," I said. "The humans must have captured him before they closed the portal when he was weak."
Father's face suddenly paled, a look of pure horror flashing through his eyes. "What are you saying?!"
I stared at him.
"STAVROS IS NOT GONE!" he yelled and grabbed me by my robes. " Flavian, please tell me you're playing a silly joke on me."
There was so much desperation in his voice. I hated breaking his heart like this.
"I'm not."
I expected Father to blow up and break a chair or something, but he didn't.
