When writing from multiple viewpoints, you'll want to limit the number of viewpoint characters you have. Only write from the viewpoints of the main characters/characters that have the biggest storylines. If you start writing from a secondary character's viewpoint, chances are the story will be weak because there isn't much of a character arc.

Another reason to limit the number of viewpoints is to make sure the story stays focused/that there aren't too many plots and subplots happening at once. Too many characters' POVs may overwhelm the reader or make the story confusing. Two POVs seems to be the most common. Three is okay, too, but anything more than that might start to be too many. There are always exceptions, but when writing multiple POVs, ask yourself whether all those characters' viewpoints are necessary to include in the story.
