The He softly lays me down on this weird padded bench thing. He brushes his hands through my hair and then sits in a chair peacefully. She says my nose is broken so she tapes it and says I need to go to the doctor after school. She also gives me some cotton to stop the bleeding. I sit up and the nurse asks for my moms number. I just mumble a few words and she sternly says, "speak up." And I raise my voice angrily and say, "you can't call her!" She looks over and gives me a dirty look. She raises her eyebrow and asks, "why not?" I just pout to myself and Hayes stands up and whispers in her ear what is going on. So the nurse just calls Hayes's mom instead. Hayes runs a pass to my teacher that says I am going home and hayes being his quirky self makes himself puke in the hall so he has to go home. So Elizabeth is outside the school waiting for us. We get outside and when she sees my face her jaw is practically to the ground. I have a broken nose and my eye is swollen shut. Don't I just look beautiful today? She asks me if I'm okay and I just nod. We get in the car and I'm looking for the seatbelt with my one good eye. Hayes sees my struggling and buckles it for me. Elizabeth starts the car and has one crucial question for Hayes.
