Just before she starts the car she turns back and asks Hayes, "why aren't you in school?" Hayes starts laughing and says, "I got sick all over the hallway." She just smirks and shakes her head. We are almost to the doctors office. Hayes looks at me and frowns. I asked him what's wrong but he doesn't answer. Instead he snaps his head back like he never looked at me. We get to the doctors office. He presses the button of the seat belt for me then we get out of the car. The office is packed with people getting flu shots so there is only 2 seats left. Of course I have to let Elizabeth sit. I offer to stand and she refuses. So instead Hayes pulls me down to sit on his lap. Nash is calling her so she leaves the room. Hayes looks at my lips and smirks. He pulls me in and kisses my lips softly. Right then the doctor comes out and says Emily and I embarrassingly stand up. She quietly giggles to herself. Elizabeth comes running back in. We all follow the doctor. The doctor asks me if I'm in any pain and I quietly mumble yes. She writes me a script for pain medication and a splint for my broken nose. We are walking out of the doctors office and I just feel like a idiot. Like why does Hayes like me? He could be with that cheerleader that doesn't have a jacked up face right now. We get back into the car and Nash calls my phone.
