I pick up the call and Nash sounds extremely concerned about me. I tell him I'm fine and he calms down. He also asks me if I want to met him at the park. I ask if Hayes can come and he says no. I say fine and hang up. Hayes and Elizabeth ask what it's about and I just say that Nash asked me to go to the park. Hayes really doesn't want me to go for some reason. I don't even get it. Are we dating or not?! He has kissed me like 5 times and he still hasn't told me anything yet. We get back to his house and I give Hayes his hoodie back from the beginning of the school day. I get changed into sweats then leave to go to the park. On my way out Hayes tells me to stay safe and hugs me tight. In the middle of that hug Nash opens the door and says, "why don't you think she will be safe? I'm with her doofus." I wink at Hayes and walk out the door with Nash. Nash says, "why isn't your face just purple today. It matches your outfit atleast!" Then he starts giggling to himself. I giggle for a second then look down at the black asphalt. We keep walking and talking and it feels like we are friends just like before. I feel like I have a friend for once. But my heart is still with Hayes. Well.. Atleast I think?
