Present

Anya went home a bit late that night. Natagalan siya sa trabahong inaayos sa gallery dahil nadistract siya sa pagkakaalam na wala na sa bilangguan si Robbi. He can just surprise her anytime and that scares her.

Although now, she has two big bodyguards walking on both sides of her nasaan man siya sa labas ng bahay. Nilubayan lamang siya ng mga ito ng makapasok siya sa loob ng mansion.

She entered the grand sala at papataas na sana ng hagdan ng makitang palabas ng dining hall si Xavier with a cup of coffee in hand.

"Bakit ginabi ka na yata?"

She just breathed deeply. Wala siyang lakas na makipagtalo dito. Alam naman niyang kahit anong sabihin niya ay hindi pinaniniwalaan nito. Their relationship was completely destroyed by that night ng malaman nitong pera kang nito ang habol niya at iniisip nitong nagkaroon siya ng relasyon with Robbi even after their marriage.

"Tinatanong kita," untag nito, halatang nairita sa hindi niya pagsagot.

"You hired my bodyguards, right? I'm sure they'll give you a detailed report in a bit on where I was and what I did the whole day," she said at dirediretso ng tumaas ng hagdan.

"Huwag mo akong talikuran dahil kinakausap pa kita," nakakatakot na banta nito.

So she stopped midway at tinitigan ang asawa. She was just tired at gusto na niyang magpahinga. She just looked him in the eye, not saying anything.

"The bodyguards will be with you until I say so."

"Whatever makes you happy," she said.

Xavier went up the stairs as well hanggang sa nakalapit ito sa kanya. "You don't look well. Ayos ka lang ba?"

"I'm just tired," tipid na sagot niya. But her fatigue was not just physical. It was more of emotional as well. Marami siyang kinimkim na sakit at takot simula ng gabing iyon na pinagtangkaan siya ni Robbi. At kahit kailan ay hindi siya nagkaroon ng pagkakataong sabihin ang nararamdaman kay Xavier because he left. He just chose to believe what he saw and heard from Robbi.

He cupped her face with one hand. "Go rest," wika nito and kissed her lightly on the lips. "I'll follow in a bit." He caressed her face some more and looked at her tenderly. At pagkatapos ay dahan-dahan siyang pinakawalan ng binata and he walked down the stairs back to the dining hall and disappeared.

So she went to her room to take some rest.

"No! No! Stop, please...." Anya screamed.

"Hey, Anya, I'm here," she heard a voice from somewhere.

But someone's still chasing her at maabutan na siya ng lalaki. But before he could catch her, nagising kagad siya dahil isa lang pala iyong panaginip.

She was sweating and breathing heavily.

"Hey, Anya, ayos ka lang ba? I'm here," Xavier whispered beside her on the bed and wrapped his arm around her. "It's just a dream."

The room was dark but gone was the man. She was so scared it was Robbi na halos maiyak na siya sa panaginip.

But now, seeing how she was safe with his husband, naiyak na lang siya bigla. And hugged her husband back. Ngayon lang siya nagkaroon ng karamay sa mga panaginip na ganoon.

Since her trauma, nagkakaroon siya ng malalang mga panaginip lalo na noong fresh pa lahat ng mga pangyayari sa utak niya. Now, it looks like the nighmares are coming back.

"Ano bang napaginipan mo?" tanong ni Xavier while stroking her hair.

She clutched on him tighter. "Someone was ch-chasing me..."

"I'm here and I won't let anything bad happen to you..." he whispered and kissed her forehead.

She climbed over to his lap and straddled him. "Do you believe me when I say that... that I never had a relationship with Robbi?"

It was dark at hindi niya makita ang reaction ni Xavier sa tanong niya. But his arms snaked around her to pull her closer to him so she's locked down on his chest. "I... I don't know what to believe anymore, Anya."

She touched his face and trapped it in her hands. "I... I may have married you for the wrong reasons but I never cheated on you. I will never do that... He tried to-"

"Sssh, I know what he tried to do. That's why I charged him with attempted rape as well," sagot nito.

"Y-you believe me...."

"But you still chose to defend him-"

"I chose to defend you!" sagot niya. "Xavier, you were not yourself that night. I know you could have killed him kung hindi ako pumagitan sa inyo. I... i don't want you to be a killer. You're too good for that... Ayokong magsisi ka at magalit sa sarili mo."

His hands moved at the hem of her pajama top and played with her exposed skin.

"Do you believe me, Xavier?"

His lips moved to her neck, kissing it passionately.

She moaned in pleasure sa ginagawa nito. "Xavier...," she whispered. "I chose you then..."

"I love you..." he said in between kisses.

At nagulat siya sa biglang sinabi nito. "W-What?"

His hands moved inside her top and cupped her breasts while pulling her nipples. "I'll believe you because I love you. And I don't care now kung pinakasalan mo ko para sa pera ko.. all I care about is having you here with me and being able to make love to you because you're mine." And he captured her lips for a slow, passionate kiss habang inuunbutton nito ang pajama top niya.

"Xavier," she moaned all the more.

"I missed you, babe... so bad..." he whispered back while tracing kisses on her neck and shoulders. "You're mine."

"Yes, I'm all yours...." she answered back and let him touch and kiss her all night long.
