Chapter 2

"Umagang-umaga, kung sino-sinong lalaki ang nakikita kong kasama mo. And it's only my second day here in Manila. So is he the new prospect? Or baka naman marami ng sumunod kay Robbi na hindi ko lang alam," pang-uuyam ni Xavier nang masolo niya si Anya sa loob ng opisina ng gallery nito.

Anya was hurt. Pero hindi na niya pinatulan ito. She just glared at him... for bringing up his name. Robbi's name which brought so much memories.

"What?" maang-maangang tanong nito. "Are you mad at me for throwing your lover in jail a year ago?" Umupo ito sa mahabang couch sa loob ng opisina niya.

"He's not my lover... He's..."

"Just someone you fuck with when I'm at work."

"Did you come here to the Philippines just to make a hell out of my life?" ganting sigaw niya. Ilang beses na siyang pinagmumukhang mababang babae ng asawa niya.

Pero hindi niya masisi si Xavier. Nagtataka nga siya kung bakit hindi na lang siya nito hiniwalayan.

Tumayo ang binata at nilapitan siya. "No, I'm here para pagbayarin ka sa lahat ng mga kasalanan mo sa'kin at sa lahat ng ginagastos ko para sa'yo. This gallery is mine. And everything in it is mine. You are mine." At biglang nagdilim ang mga mata nito habang nakatingin sa kanya.

She stepped back and leaned on her office table for support. "X-xavier..."

"Why did you call me here sa gallery mo? You mentioned that there's a problem," he reminded her.

Oh, shit!  She only said that dahil naiirita siya sa secretary nitong si Lucy na halatang gustong ilayo sa kanya ang asawa niya by announcing his next meeting in front of them kanina sa cafe.

"Uhm.... I..." Wala siyang maisip na problema.

"Are you wasting my time?" galit na tanong nito. "I just cancelled a meeting to discuss the gallery with you. At wala kang sasabihin ngayon?"

She breathed deeply at walang takot na tinawid ang pagitan nilang dalawa. She pulled him to her and crashed her lips on his. Nagulat ito sa ginawa niya but he obliged and pulled her closer to him. They started kissing intensely, as if there was no tomorrow.

She slowly pushed him to the couch. Then, she broke the kiss to look at him, "I... I just want you..."

She saw how his eyes grew darker when she said that at mabilis nitong hinubad ang top niya. He sucked her nipples like a child asking for nourishment. It's been so long since he did that to her. Halos mabaliw siya sa gabi sa pagka-miss sa asawa.

"I want you, too...," he whispered huskily.

And let's just say they weren't able to work that morning.

It was almost 2PM when they finished having sex for the second third that day. He was so gentle and rough on her at the same time. But she likes it. They had sex on her office table and on her couch. Wala na siyang pakialam kung nai-lock ba nila ang pinto o naririnig ba sila ng apprentice niyang si Mia.

All she knew was that she missed him. Isang taon din siyang tigang ng wala ito. She'd rather not have sex than do it with someone else other than him.

"I have a meeting in Zambales today. I need to go catch my plane."

"So hindi ka matutulog ulit sa bahay tonight?" At kasama na naman kaya nito ang Lucy na 'yon?

"No," sagot nito at tumayo na habang inaayos ang suit.

She sighed. "Will you at least call me when you land in Zambales?"

He looked at her and smirked. "Why the sudden care, Anya Isabelle?"

His use of her full name... This is how he used to call her when they got married.

"I'll be late. I need to go." Hindi na nito hinintay pa ang sagot niya.

She walked him out of her office and her gallery. At nang makababa sila sa building, nakita niyang naghihintay ang sasakyan nito sa harapan ng driveway. And there was that Lucy again.

"Bye," paalam nito.

But before he could turn around, she captured his lips for a lingering kiss. His eyes were questioning. But she deepened the kiss all the more, to prove to Lucy that he's her husband. And hers alone.

"Please come back safe," she said. And glared at Lucy.

"I will. I just hope that when I come back, hindi ako nasalisihan ng ibang lalaki," mapait na bulong nito sa tenga niya at sumakay na sa sasakyan.

She was left hurt and dumbfounded. Ganoon na ba talaga kababa ang tingin sa kanya ng binata matapos ang nangyari sa kanila a year ago?

A tear fell down her right cheek. It's been a year but her dreams and waking life were still being haunted... by Robbi.

Hello!!! I can't imagine going back to werq after spending a loooong weekend in Boracay. How was your long wkend guys? :) I hope i gave justice to this chapter.
