I was singing a new song I wrote and it was sounding really good with the background music. Cole was staring a deep hole inside of me and I was starting to tense up. But then I saw McKenna go by with milkshakes while 'accidentally' smacking him in the back of the head. I smile and keep singing.
"Everybody knows, you and i, are suicidal stolen art, pretty moments sews, stitches into all your bitches broken hearts"
I look over to see my dad and his girlfriend in a booth with my dads arm over her smiling at me.
My dad has always been so proud of me since I started my passions. I really wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him and I'm really grateful for that.
"Every now and then it hits me, that I'm the one that got away, but I guess being lonely fits me, and you where made for begging."
"Stay"
I finished and everyone started to clap. I smile and grab a drink of water getting up from my stool and walking over to the counter to see McKenna and jasmine standing there talking.
"Hey lady's." I say catching their attention.
"Hola mi amor" I giggle at jasmine as McKenna grabs some food to take to a table.
"Did I sound ok" I ask jasmine.
"Ok? You did amazing!" she says. I smile and thank her.
I walk over to my dad and his girlfriend and sit down across from them.
"You did so good sweety" my dad says as Ann agreed.
"Why thank you, I worked very hard on that song." I respond.
I walked back up to my stool and went on my phone for a bit. I saw McKenna posted my singing on twitter. I smiled and reposted it.
I looked up when I heard someone crying and saw Betty slapping cole and running out of the cafe. I look at cole who had his head in his hands. He didn't run after her he just rolled his eyes. He got up and walked over to my dad and his girlfriend. I got a little weirded out so I got up while him and Ann where talking.
"Umm Cole why are you talking to my dad?" I ask.
"Umm do you mean why am I talking to my mom and her boyfriend?" He asks back in a 'duh' tone.
My mouth drops. I couldn't believe that my dad was dating ANN BROCK.
