While waiting, I remember something. If I’m not mistaken, the boss told me that I will be studying in De La Salle University soon. I wonder why he would do that aside from me to continue watching his daughter. It will also be difficult to enter the campus with a weapon in hand. I can see the entrances from here. They are equipped with metal detectors; even the guards have metal detectors. The guards also check the bags very thoroughly even though the student is hurrying his way inside the campus.
Those who were granted their wish to study were first taken into a test. They were tested to know if they are worthy of the knowledge and field to take. Jerein, as I remember that time, scored almost 100% in the test which places him to Technological Institute in the Philippines without question. Now, why would I enter a university, I don’t even remember all the topics that I studied when I was in high school and not even close to finish my first year in college. If it takes the test now, I’m sure my score will not even pass the 30%.
I am close to sleeping when someone taps my shoulder for the second time. It is Aiza again.
“Hey why are you here? I told you to come.” She says.
“I don’t know where to go, are you a retard?” I say, with a slight anger.
That’s a close call; my emotions are getting ahead of me again. I can see her eyes are really focused on me right now. I close my eyes for a bit and stand.
She brings me into the alleyway four blocks from 7-Eleven. There is a tall building covering all sides which is ideal for ambush. No wonder why no one sees the death of Jeremy. The place is so secluded you won’t even know it exists in this area.
I look above; the others are on the roof of a three story building just beside us. Aiza moves first to get the ladder hanging from one of the windows and she climb the three story building quickly than I imagine. I remember when I drag Ria here, she was frozen solid when she saw me firing my gun to Jeremy. What is Jeremy doing here in the first place? Like he is watching me, no that is not even possible. There is no way he will do that, there’s no motive.
I climb like what Aiza did in the hanging ladder but it takes me more time to climb the building. I know that I have climb this before but today it looks like there has been changes made in these pieces of metal. My body is not that light and flexible to hang over all those metal obstacles unlike Aiza. I reach the roof and see the blood stains. The people here didn’t even bother to clean this area, I remember that even the body is taken by the PSS members themselves not the people living in this building.
“Judging from the angle of the blood stains, the shooter must be from below that alleyway.” Max says.
“Also, the projection of the weapon is so precise that not an ordinary shooter can ever perform the crime.” Eureia added.
“Then what does that tell us?” I ask.
“Hold on a minute Ecclesiastes, let me ask you something first. It is impossible for you to not hear the gunshot, so where are you when the shot took place?” Stred asks.
I didn’t speak. I look at their expressions, all alike, emotionless faces that are directed by the rule. At a blink of an eye, Stred pulls his gun from his waist and points it at me. I didn’t even notice that he already pulled it because he is so fast, faster than my reaction time.
“So tell me Ecclesiastes. Why are you so quiet now?” Stred says.
“Are you suspecting me?” I ask them all.
