United Nations, I never thought that Adamson University is located here. I thought all students will get off from Central Terminal Station because many universities can be located there. My absence from the PSS Quarters prevented me from researching the LRT line thoroughly, now the threat will start when the students starts to get off. I look into the window, and I can see the next station is getting larger and larger in my sight. That is the United Nations Station. How I fail to research the population of that Adamson University. My heart is racing very fast. This is a moment I didn’t anticipate. I close my eyes. I think again about my purpose here. There is no reason to be afraid, I am ready, ready to give this life for her. I look at her, gazing outside the window while sitting side wards in the chair. I just wish this encounter will be fast and swift.
The door opens, and the whole student body of the Adamson University gets off the train. I look carefully by one of the suspicious people, he places his hands in his waist; he must be picking his weapon already. I do the same; I position my right hand by my right waist, looking carefully in their heads as they might notice me.
There are still many students inside. They are yet to do their move; there are still many people around. We wait for a bit longer, until the students from the center of the train get into the entrance, and then finally got off the train. I see the other suspicious looking person go by Ria’s left side. The one in his right finally takes something behind him.
I get closer to the person who is about to take something on his back. His jacket reveals this submachine gun as he draws it, I place my hands towards his back and jabs his hand drawing the gun, he shouts in pain, and he was unable to draw the weapon. The other three people draw their gun and point it towards me. We all pointed our weapons to each other, though they are yet to shoot because I am grabbing one of their members as a human shield. The other people got scared and transfer into the far side of the train, which includes Ria.
My shoulder is in pain as I use my left arm to hold my human shield tightly. He is forcing his way against me because I am not pointing the gun in him. Suddenly gunshots are fired from the opposite side, there are still others inside the train. This causes me to fire my pistol killing all three in my front, though the three were able to fire but they hit my human shield instead. The glasses from the window of the train is scattering all over the place. Someone is shooting from afar, and just by looking at the bullets, it is an assault rifle. I crouch myself, going to Ria’s place. She is lying under the chair, very afraid. I never wish to see her like this again. She is suffering again. I remember all the happy days and her smile. I want to see them again.
I can’t get up. The bullets are pinning us down. I see the train approaching Central Terminal but it doesn’t seem to be slowing down. I look by the far side of the train; there are still three of them moving to our position. I shoot at the three armed people but they take cover by the side. Our vision suddenly goes darker; the train just passed the Central Terminal Station without stopping. This is not good; the next stop is Carriedo Station. I must find a way to stop this train.
I look above the doors, there is an emergency button. Maybe when I shoot that button, it may bring the train to slow down. However, that is not a good idea as well, if the train stops before reaching Carriedo Station, the mission will fail and they will be able to kill Ria.
I see someone pointing his weapon to Ria. He’s got a wide opening, and with current position, he can kill her now. I stand up and cover Ria behind me, I take his bullet and hits my right knee. I fire my gun and it kills him. I see someone behind the person I just killed, he is hiding but he has a striking resemblance. Max
I go closer to him, and then I go into cover as he point his gun to me. He is one of the best in the PSS, I could say that he is the best of the people I know in the PSS so far, he who can control the rhythm, master of timing and intervals. I hide, then I think, if I head to him now, I can take him but he will also hit me. My final decision is like a double edged sword. It will be our death. As I prepare for the worst, my greatest fear just happened. A PSS member happens to be behind me, behind Ria, and he is already pointing his gun to Ria’s head.
