I wait again. I shall wait until I have these three in my range. The two suspects behind me are wearing uniforms of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute. There is no way for me to know that they are involved. I know I failed to scan the surroundings.

I can feel the moment is taking forever; the split second is like a minute. Everything is slow. I just want you to get close to me right now. Can’t you just walk!

These suspects are taking their time. As the bus decelerates as it goes towards Carmona Exit, they started to move. This time they are on my range. I grabbed my gun and take my move. I duck and shoot the person in front of me, he bleeds, and then I turn my back towards the two behind me. I saw the suspect as he fires his weapon on me but I am able to shoot them both before I fall into the floor as I lose my balance.

     This is the end..

     End of the line…

     End of my life..

     So Soon..

     Wait,

An applause can be heard near the driver’s seat. There is someone clapping. I realize that I am not dead but I’m bleeding. However, there is no pain. What is this?

I stand up, and the suspects also stand up with me. I saw the daughter clapping her hands. I can’t understand what just happened.

“Surprise!” The man behind me shouts.

“He is good Ma’am! He managed to get us three with his life on the line. A truly worthy PSS member to be assigned to you.” The other says.

“He is indeed a capable member. He didn’t forget the principles of the PSS and the rules. Ecclesiastes my boy, you excel not only in selflessness, but also bravery and the ability to show no weakness.” A familiar voice says.

As I look at the person behind the driver’s seat, it is the boss himself. I can’t believe what I am seeing. They just disclose the secrets of the family in front of the passengers.

“With the violation of rule no.2 of Personal Secret Service, all members of the family should die here and now!” I announce without hesitation and fear.

“Not so fast my young lad.” The boss says to me. “For all of us here are members of the family.”

Another unexpected turn of events, is the boss saying that all of these students of De La Salle University and De La Salle Health Sciences Institute are members of the family?

“You’re not even holding a real gun.” The boss added.

I look into my weapon it is indeed fake. It shoots paintball which I thought to be blood as it struck a person a while ago.

In the end, they all just played me. Even the daughter, I can now see in her eyes that she knew that all of this is a set up. She tricked me when she shown me her expression being afraid moments ago.

Everyone is laughing, except from the three people that I thought to be suspects. They must be members of the PSS as well, us who do not show emotions.

“Forgive us Ecclesiastes. This is just a test on how you will react in the field. I see no problems at all.” The boss apologizes to me.

“No sir, I failed, I deserve to die right now.” I tell him.

“Being a member of the Personal Secret Service doesn’t mean you can just throw away your life.” He tells me then he taps my shoulders.
