Chapter 15

Kokichi pov

Shumai picks me up and walks up half the stairs, on the landing he sets me down.

"Huh? Why'd you set me down?"
"You need to walk."
I fall down pretending to be seriously injured in the process I land on a wound, causing me to wince in pain.
"Owww! Shumaaaaiii why's you let me do that!"
"Maybe because I wasn't expecting it. I mean seriously you just fell out of nowhere! You were standing then you weren't."
"Well yeah but now you definitely have to carry me."
"Oh alright."

We reach the top and only after making sure I won't fall again he sets me down. He grabs my hand and walks me to his room. Opening the door I'm greeted with the most coolest, awesomest room that I've ever seen.

The walls are painted a navy blue with purple marbling throughout it. Zero chipping of the paint. Is this recent?! The bed frame is black, and the mattress is thick with a deep green duvet layer out nicely on top. On one of the walls there is a polished light grey cabinet with multiple bottles and next to that one there is a shelf of the same color filled to the brim with books.

"Shumai y-your room is amazing!"
"Thank you I decorated it myself. I even added marbling to the walls recently." So I was right.
"Do you do this for every relationship you're in. Like was it marbled with pink when you dated Kayayday?"
"I- I uh never dated Kaede."
"Seriously but you like always hang out with her. Are you lying to me?"
"No no I've always thought of her as just a friend. Besides I've never dated anyone before you...."
"WHAT?! How?! I mean seriously take a look at yourself, you have tight abs even if you never take your shirt off I can tell. You're eyes are just so calming and have just a tinge of strictness. You have a nice ass, and you smell wonderful. And that's only the tip of the iceberg, my beloved." It was then when the detective turned bright red.
"K- Koki what were those last two things again?" He stuttered clearly taken aback by the words that flew out of my mouth.
"Uhhh you have a nice ass and you smell wonderful?"
"////"
"Wow I didn't know you could get even more red!" He quickly grabbed his emo hat putting it in front of his face.
"You mean what you said? About those other things."
"Every word of it. Now let's get to making you a virgin no longer!" I smirk knowing that'll freak him out even further. His only response being a high pitched squeak.
"Aahhahahah. Omg Shu I'm so sorry! It's just- I just needed to see your reaction!"
"This isn't very funny." He mutters from behind his hat.
"You know you love me. Now please move your hat."
"Why should I?"
"My beloved doesn't trust me? Waaaahh you're soooo mean!"
"Fine." He says flatly moving his hat from his face. Now's my chance. I kiss him, quickly pulling away before he has the chance to push me away.

I pull him down onto the bed pulling my phone out of my pocket. Going into the camera app and facing it at Shu.

"Shu-Chan look at meee~"

He turned to me shyly and I clicked the photo. Aww how cute.

"This one's a keeper. Now I wanna look through those bottles!" I announce pointing to the shiny cabinet.
"Sure." He quickly said probably to distract me not knowing what he was saying. I waltz over to the cabinet opening it up and ceremoniously picking up a bottle. I read the label 'Ricin'. Why would Shumai have this. I grab another bottle 'Strychnine'. N-no. I drop both bottles grabbing my crutches and shakily exiting the room. Once I'm outside I yell.

"YOU WANT ME DEAD TOO DON'T YOU!"
"W-what?"
"THAT ENTIRE SHELF IS FULL OF POISONS ISN'T IT. I KNEW IT! YOU NEVER LOved me." My voice cracking tears spilling out as I said those last two words.
"You just wanted to get close enough to me so that you could strike."
"Kokichi I-"
"Can it detective, and don't call me Kokichi. Leave this room."
"K- Ouma this is my-"
"LEAVE THE ROOM!"
"O-okay!"
