JUNGKOOK

"Jungkook, sweetheart, please get up. You're gonna be late!" It's the first thing I hear as I wake up, eyes still shut.

I hear my mother yell another order for me to get up, but my actions beat her to it. I head to my dresser, throw on my already picked out clothes from last night, grab my stuff and finally, head upstairs.

"Good morning Mama," I say as I give her my usual morning kiss to her head, as she stands in the kitchen, preparing my brother and I's breakfast. "What's the specials today?"

"Toast"

"That's it?"

"Well, how about..." She starts, turning around with a 'you testing me?' look on her face. "You wake up earlier than five minutes before you need to leave, and make us all breakfast, huh?"

"That's it as in...."

"Save it, Kook, she ain't buying it"My brother pipes up from the table.

With an eye roll and a 'sweet' smile, my mom hands me a plate with my breakfast and I, as the loving and caring son I am, do as any other would do, and takes it with a 'thank you, I love you' directed to her.

"Yeah yeah, whatever 'son' just eat your food. We're leaving in a few minutes" She says as a response to my overused poor excuse of an apology.

After a short lengthed but long in conversation drive to school, I get inside the building, say my farewells to my brother and head to class immediately. Since I have english first period, my presentation with Tae will be very soon, and I'm not sure how I feel about that one.

I calmly walk into class, and casually set my bag down as I take my seat. Turning my head, left to right, left to right, slowly to try and find Tae, but with no success. But as always, I find Jangjun next to me at his spot, talking rather loudly to the guy on his left.

I use this opportunity, without Jangjun disturbing nor Tae to talk to, to read over my cue cards and prepare for my upcoming presentation.

"Hello everybody, my names Jungkook." I would start

"And I'm Tae. We have been asked to present something or someone whom we admire." Then Tae follows up.

"What we've settled on, is a very popular (a/n: but still underrated smh 😔) group called DAY6"

"This Kpop band consists of the 5 members: Park Sungjin, Park Jaehyung, Kang Brian (or Young K), Kim Wonpil and Yoon Dowoon."

"They make great music, touching various subject in most people's lives, meaning many can relate"

And then we'd go on with facts and favourites, all while speaking English.

No big deal, right?

Was I late to class? Yes

Is there a reason for my tardiness? Indeed there is.

Will I ever share said reason as to why I was late? Absolutely the frick frack shick shack not. Never ever, 'cause nobody needs to know

Nobody wants to know...

"Hey, Jungkook!" I say overenthusiastically as always. "How is you doing on this fine day?"

"Not good, not bad," He chuckles "What about you? You're late, did something happen?"
