Loving Chase

A trip to Europe

I am at the infamous Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam with my best friend having fun taking pictures and absorbing knowledge from history. I look at the preserved treasures shown inside the place wanting to touch those amazing maintains.

“Stop!” a woman shouted and I halt my hands quickly hiding it from the back.

“I’m sorry! I didn’t touch it.” I tried to explain.

“Touching is prohibited in this museum. If you’re museums back in your country let you freely touch it then do it there, not here.” I was scolded by the one in-charge.

“Hey! Hey, what’s the problem?” my best friend Jin came to defend me.

 “The problem is your girlfriend! Teach her the no-touching policy or she will be in deep trouble,” the one in-charge said and I realized my best friend was about to kick her ass off, I stopped him and apologized before it gets any worse. The in-charge went off and I sighed heavily.

“So much for hospitality,” he muttered and I laughed.

“Should we go now?” Jin asked me.

“Not yet, I want to see more paintings” I told him.

“Okay then! Let me go look at the sculptures,” he said and I nodded.

            I walked to the hall where the paintings are placed and tried to trace my hand on mid-air from the paintings. The paintings look so easy to make but I doubt it is harder than I think it would be.

“You love paintings?” someone with a low voice say and I turned back to see a beautiful man standing right in front of me smiling. His hair is pure gold and he’s eyes like honey. He’s tall and he’s skin is as white as snow with cheeks as red as cherries.

“I-I-no-It’s-” I stuttered not finding the right words to say.

“I’m June Guci,” he reached he’s right hand unto my direction.

“I’m Chase Baron,” I reached and shaked hands.

“A manly name for such fine lady” he said breaking the grip and I laughed. He must have thought I’m a feminine type of girl because I’m wearing a pink chiffon dress and a pair of white doll shoes.

“Boss,” someone called.

“Yes,” he replied to the call and I turned to see and found out that it was the lady who scolded me earlier. My eyes widen and I looked at him with unbelievable feeling triggering me.

“The new fossils we bought have now arrived,” the lady said giving me a glance and I looked the other side pretending not to notice her.

“Something wrong?” he asked me and I think, yes! Of course, there is something wrong! In fact, it’s so wrong I can hardly breathe! That woman just scolded me earlier for god sake.

“Nothing,” I replied. “You’re the owner of the museum?” I asked him.

“I’m afraid so,” He glanced smiling the other way scratching the back of his golden hair and my jaw dropped. This is my first time coming to this place and I have already met the owner? I just realized how lucky I am for being given such an encounter and I caught him smiling with him looking at the people around him.

“W-what is it?” he realized I was looking at him.

“You’re smiling all by yourself,” I laughed.

“It just feels good to see people going in and out of this place; just watching people’s happy faces makes me happy and just feels rewarding.” He stated as I am looking at him sharing he’s feelings to someone he never met before in he’s whole life. I felt honored.

“Chase!” my best friend called me.

“I’m coming!” I responded.

“Your boyfriend?” he asked me.

“No! Of course not,” I frowned.

“I’ve got to go, it was nice meeting you” I said to June Guci and toddled back to Jin.

 “Who was that?” Jin asked me.

“Just the owner of the museum,” I grinned.  

            We went out of the museum and called a hired cab. The both of us went inside the cab and talked all about those fossils and preserves from the museum and in the middle of our conversation, I remembered the owner of the museum and I think he’s cute.

As we arrived at the Crowne Plaza City Centre hotel located in the historic heart of Amsterdam near the shopping streets and museums, we took reservations and the both of us went to our room tired as a pig rolling on each side of the bed. I stood up and decided to take a bath. I excused myself to the bathroom while taking off all my clothes and with me nothing left but my bare skin as I twisted the shower’s coil turning it on as the warm water travel down my body. I extended my arms grabbing some of the mint shampoo embed with crystals massaging my long black hair while clear ice bubbles came floating up on the air. I thoroughly rinsed my hair and mended my hair with a bun using my gold-plated rubber band made from real rare gold in Africa.

            I took my soap with pure dust gold on its inner and outer part of its circle; rubbing it unto my skin with bubbles appearing and floating like golden stones. I rinsed my body and covered myself with a towel as I turned the coil to stop the flowing of the water. I took my time untying the rubber band as I blow-dried my hair with the electric dryer. I stepped out of the bathroom and opened one of my pink luggages and wore my white silky pajamas. I realized something heavy inside my pocket and as I dive my hand in, I got myself a golden key with a medium-sized diamond being held on a circular shape on top of it. My eyes glittered loving the beautiful design of such key.

“This might be the hotel room’s key,” I murmured to myself. I sink my teeth unto the gold key and affirmed that it is really pure gold.

            I placed the key in my favorite white purse embroidered with real garnet stones and headed to the bed and lie on my back next to my best fried Jin. I remembered when Jin and I were just kids, we would sleep on the same bed and go to the bathroom together like how it is today but we surely don’t go to the bathroom together now. I looked at Jin and thought how time fly so fast.

 I closed my eyes and without farther notice, I am thinking about the guy I saw earlier at the museum; he is not like any other guy. He is somewhat special. I kept on thinking about him and I try to not know why but I do. My eyes started feeling heavy and without me noticing, I already fell asleep.
