I woke up on the sofa and saw Chase still asleep on the bed. I heard a knock on the door and opened it and it’s the old lady. Wait, her face seems familiar. Who is this again?

“So I see you've not told her yet,” she said giving off a smile while handing me a plate of waffles. Wait, waffles? I thought and then I looked at her once more. So she’s the same old lady back in the waffle shop?!

“Waffle lady?” I asked her and then she nodded. So the owner of this house is also the same lady back at the waffle shop.

“I have a name! My name is Olivia.” She said introducing herself.

“Wait, how did you know?” I asked the old lady and then she rolled her eyes showing me the newspaper and I just stood there looking at the newspaper.

“I told you to tell her. Now you’re going to grow old and regret it!” she said loudly trying to argue. I quickly looked at Chase if she woke up by the old lady’s nagging so I went out of the room quickly and closed the door.

“Why are you shouting? She could hear you,” I told her in a whisper.

“You should tell her!” Olivia said.

“I can’t,” I responded with a whisper.

“Downstairs!” she told me in a demand and walked downstairs with me following her to the living room. She told me to sit on the setter and so I did.

“Would you like a cup of coffee?” she asked me.

“No, thank you.” I said to refuse.

“Henry! Could you please get us a cup of coffee?” she asked her husband. Didn’t I just tell her I won’t drink coffee? Ugh. Forget it. It’s here anyway. So his name is Henry if I heard it right.

“Sure,” Henry responded and placed three cups of coffee on the table as he sat next to Olivia.

“So how’s your wife?” Henry asked me but I couldn’t say a word. It’s too awkward.

“They’re not married,” Olivia said while she sipped her coffee.

“What?” Henry asked loudly.

“Calm down, they are planning to.” She told him while grinning. What? Who told her that? Who even decided that?

“Listen, boy! If you like that girl, then go for it.” Henry told me.

“Chase? No!” I said.

“No, I believe we have a misunderstanding here but I don’t like her. I mean, she’s pretty, yes, but I don’t like her.” I told them.

“Oh! Stop lying to yourself. It’s pretty obvious that you like her.” Henry said rolling his eyes and sipped on his coffee.

“Told you it’s pretty obvious,” Olivia said.

“Okay! I like her, alright?! She’s,” I hesitated.

“Go on, don’t be shy.” Olivia said sipping her cup of coffee. This old lady really likes to be prying on somebody else’s business.

“She’s a kid at times and she doesn’t really find me as someone who would like her. I mean, we’ve always been together back when we were kids until now and I don’t think she likes someone like me, her best friend? Not a chance! I thought I am too but as time passed, I- I have already felt something for her, in college, to be exact. After knowing that I do start to feel something for her, I stopped myself and just flirted with another couple of girls to alter my attention. At first, yes it worked but now, I don’t think it’ll ever work. I like her so much already. I think I love her.” I told them about my feelings and then I looked at them, they just sat there speechless. God! Now I’m talking too much.
