Narrator's POV
It's been a week now, and Stephen was still in the hospital, unresponsive.
Tony started to question his thought of his husband going into the Astral Dimension.
Now, he was by his side, holding one of his his hands in his against his forehead.
He didn't know how long he hadn't slept in, but he didn't want to close his eyes for one second. He didn't want all this to have been a dream as soon as he opened his eyes.
He had them back, but it still felt like nothing had changed. It felt as if they weren't really here. It had been five years without them. Five long, lonesome years.
It still felt like this was all a dream.
A dream he would wake up from and have all this ripped away from him. That day. That ungrateful day that purple son of a bitch snapped everything from him. It just replayed back in his mind. He would often get the felling of Stephen or Peter fading in his arms and he wake up screaming at night.
He had been crying for a long time.
"T-Tony..."
Came a hoarse voice.
Tony's head shot up and looked up at Stephen, whose eyes were slowly opening.
"Stephen...hah..." Tony smiled. Tears made their way out of his eyes.
Stephen slowly moved his head up, looking up at his husband. "You look so tired." He croaked.
"I-I am." Tony sniffled, smiling.
"Why are you crying?" Stephen asked. "A-Are you sad?"
"No, Honey." Tony shook his head, smiling. "I'm not." He kissed Stephen's hand. "Hah..." Tony sighed in relief and looked up at the ceiling. "Thank you. Thank you." He whispered.
Stephen's eyes widen. He sat up quickly. "Where's-ah!" He gasped.
"No, no." Tony helped him lay back down, slowly. "Don't get up. You need to rest."
"Peter. Is he okay? Where is he?" Stephen asked.
"He's okay, dear." Tony placed a hand on Stephen's forehead. "He's at home with Oliver and Wade."
"Oliver." Stephen said, slowly sitting up, groaning.
"Stephen-"
"How is he?" Stephen asked, sitting up now.
"He's good. He's well." Tony told him.
Stephen sighed in relief.
Tony looked down at his husband and leaned closer to him, planting a kiss on his forehead.
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
Tony and Stephen looked at the heart monitor.
"Did that just...?" Tony asked.
He looked at Stephen. He slowly leaned closer to him for another kiss.
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
The monitor went off again.
