"I have never seen Thor smile like that in forever", Natasha murmured to Steve. They shared a small giggle while watching Carol and Thor exchange a glance.

They hit off almost immediately. They mostly talked about how their lives were like and occasionally bringing up why pineapples tasted bad on pizzas. As the weeks went on, they were there for one another's (more like Thor's) frequent breakdowns. He would only listen to Carol when he needed to calm down.

Only her.

"Hey, Nat?"

Natasha turned around, seeing Carol with a tensed face.

"What's this feeling? I think I need a checkup. My heart, it's been going faster than normal, accelerating I'd say. I think it could be a-"

"Let me cut you off there Danvers", Nat laughs.

"You're in love".

That phrase hit Carol unexpectedly. Her? Love? That sounded crazy. That can't be love. Consultations with Natasha became a daily thing from then on.

"No one can possibly love me, not him".

It was 1am, when she roused from her sleep, hearing a lightning crack outside of her window. But it wasn't just any lighting.

It was his.

Why was he up at such an hour?

Sleepy and half dazed, she climbed to the rooftop and as expected, he was there.

"What are you doing up so late?"

"Well, I could ask the same about you".

She sat beside him, admiring the breathtaking view of the stars with occasional shooting stars shooting out of the sky. They spent awhile, just taking in each other's presence.

Should I say something? Should I tell her? Was all that was running through his mind at that moment. What if she doesn't feel the same? Will I lose her?

He lost everything. His mother, his father, Loki even his first love, Jane.

I can't make this mistake again.

"Carol? I have something to tell you".

"If this is regarding our fight with Thanos tomorrow, Thor I swear I-"

"I love you"

She looked up immediately. He said he what?

"Carol, I love you for the way you never gave up on me, you pushed me to be the best and was even there for me at my worse. You, you gorgeous being, brought me out of my misery and pain. I thought love was for children, I thought love was something I'd never find after Jane but the stars, they proved me wrong again. Carol, you may not reciprocate or feel the same way as I do, but I love you".

"Did you draft a script or something?" Carol nervously laughs. No one has talked to her like that before and coming from the man she fell in love with? What could be better? Her face brightening with a smile.

"No, I do. Thor Odinson, I love you too. You taught me to be selfless, to love again. I found myself constantly wondering if I was good enough to experience love but you, you gave me love when I didn't deserve it".

She made a mental note to thank Nat for love advice and 'what to do if he tells you i love you' sessions.

Both looked at each other for a minute, a little stunned from what had happened the past minute but happy. Incredibly happy.

"Don't ever leave me".

She saw fear in his eyes, fear that what happened to those he loved would befall her.

"I would never dream of doing that".

Their eyes met again, one burning with lightning, one with power.

The gap between them closed, the indescribable feeling of electricity rushing through them.

"You're a good kisser".

Hi!! To those who are reading, I hope you enjoyed this kinda slow-ish burn of Carol and Thor :) Requests are welcome!! And improvements too (: I'll try to update every week because school is pretty harsh but I always find time to write (somehow).

By the way! End Game was so good. Gosh, it hurt my heart so much. But it is a great ending for the Avengers phase :") As I was typing this, FFH trailer dropped haha i'm so excited to see character development for Peter!! and MJ!!
