"Aren't you cold?" Taehyung asked while his eyes were focused on the road. It was a cold and breezy night when they decided to meet each other secretly.
"Well, I was in a hurry meeting you that I forgot to bring a thicker sweater. I'm all good, though," she explained. Taehyung earning a peace sign just shook his head hearing how stubborn she is.
"I can wait. Your health won't. Damn, Jisoo." Taehyung scolded seriously. Jisoo stared at him for a few minutes with his clenched jaw and serious eyes, she still found him adorable.
"Come on, Tae. I'm fine, for real." She chuckled while playing with her fingers and biting her lower lip a bit.
"Something's amusing?" He raised a brow and glanced at her for two seconds after noticing how entertained the girl was.
"Nothing. Do you find something amusing, though?" Jisoo asked back, teasing the younger.
"Do you?"
"Seriously, Taehyung. What conversation are we even having right now?" She laughed it off and placed her hand above his'.
He just sighed, "How are you?" He asked still keeping his eyes on the road.
"I'm doing fine. We're preparing for our new comeback, the girls are very excited for it." Jisoo answered with a nod. It was rare.
"That's good. Just don't.. Don't put your health aside."
It's been 7 months since they started dating, no one knows even their members. They decided to keep it lowkey and not tell their members first since they know how awkward both groups are with each other.
They were on their way to a convinient store, a place where they always go. That's probably the most safest place to go for them. That was the store where they became close, basically that's where everything between them started. It witnessed their whole story so it had much more meaning to it.
"Taehyung?" Jisoo called his name, "Yeah?"
"Did you ever wonder if our members are suspecting us? I can sense that Lisa may have been noticing things slowly," she said facing the window, watching the moon that was shining bright at her sight. Taehyung remained silent for a few minutes as he glanced at Jisoo and saw how amazed the woman was watching the moon.
Taehyung smiled a bit with the sight of her, he stared at her like she shined with the moon. He returned his eyes back on the road when Jisoo turned her head to him wondering why he was unresponsive.
"Why can't we just tell them?" Taehyung asked breaking the few minutes of silence. Jisoo went into a deep thought and was speechless.
Right. It was their members, anyway. Not any stranger but trusted friends, why were they keeping it a secret? She had thought of it a lot. Jisoo felt like she was the only one making things complicated and harder for them. It wasn't anything like she doesn't trust her members enough, but it was just the pressure that's keeping her from telling the members.
She knows how much the girls are struggling right now, with all the haters and limited comebacks.. All the years that they've trained, they practically sacrificed half of their childhood and their future and now they're getting not even half of what they knew they deserve. It was exhausting for them. As she was the oldest, though she wasn't the leader, she felt like she needed to take care of them. She knew how sensitive and fragile the girls were and how much everything that has happened and has been happening affects them. She has witness all of it, and the thought of her dating just screams betrayal for her.
She feels pressured with everything that's happening as of the moment. She's been feeling like shit ever since, but then Taehyung gave her hope and changed the game. She probably didn't know how to keep up if he wasn't there.
As soon as Taehyung noticed Jisoo's hesistant eyes that avoided his gaze, he intertwined his fingers with hers and held it tight. She felt the warmth of his hand which cooled her down, at some point.
"You can leave it unanswered if you dont feel like answering it. It doesn't matter. What matters to me the most is you."
Taehyung parked the car as he take his seatbelt off, "We're here." He declared.
He picked up his mask and cap and wore both of it. He also took Jisoo's seatbelt off. They both got down from the car and slowly walked towards the store.
There wasn't many people in there, only the the girl on the cashier that has been working there for a long time.
Before they totally enter Jisoo's eyes widened as she stops Taehyung from entering, letting go of their intertwined hands.
"Is there any problem?" Taehyung asked, worrying.
"Isn't that Maeng?" She whispered looking at one direction with a wide eyes. Taehyung quickly looked at where she is looking at and noticed it was her makeup artist, blackpink's makeup artist, Maeng.
"Shit. Taehyung, we need to go somewhere else, not here," she said in a hurry before grabbing his hand and running towards his car.
They quickly went inside, before removing all their disguise." Where do we go now?" Taehyung asked asking for her suggestions.
"Han Ri-" their conversation was cut after her phone rang, Jisoo threw a glance at it and looked back at Taehyung whose full attention was on her.
"It's Jennie." She looked at him. He nodded telling her to answer it.
"Jennie?" Jisoo answered. Taehyung just sighed quietly as he held her hand, squeezing it.
She looked at him, [Unnie? Where are you? It's 8th Gaon Chart Music Awards 2019 in few hours already. We need to practice.]
Jisoo checked her watch. It was Eleven already, almost morning and yet they still have schedules. Both Blackpink and Bangtan needs to perform on 8th Gaon Chart Music Awards 2019 in a few hours. Performing the song, ddu ddu ddu, Forever Young, Fake Love and Idol.
"I'll be there in a few minutes. I, well, went to a friend's house," she lied.
[Alright then, we'll wait for you-]
[Lalisa, Seriously— Hey, my prettiest unnie! This is your girl, Lili— Give me back my phone you brat.]
[Don't mind her, she's too loud. Anyway, bring us food! Lots of it please, I'm dying to eat.]
[Seriously.] She heard Jennie scoff, [Anyway, unnie. Dont bother bringing us food, just get here safely earliest as possible. Manager's waiting— Unnie! The betrayal? Did you seriously just? Why did you tell Jisoo Unnie to not bring us food? Oh my God, are you nuts? Me and Chae are hungry.]
[Nevermind them, unnie. Take care! We'll wait.] Jennie ended the call.
"I'm sorry. I need to go back already," Jisoo said feeling really sorry. He gave her a nod and squeezed her hand.
"No need to apologize. I understand. Get enough sleep, alright?" She nodded weakly, muttering a soft "Yeah.."
"Actually, nap first. I'll wake you up once we arrive," he said. She did what he said. She leaned on the window closing her eyes. Drifting to a short nap.
Time really is unfair.
