   Drip, drop, drip, drop.

The sound of drops of water colliding against the stone, cold floor was heard through out the cellar. Cold and dark that's how it's ever been since the day i was brought down here. It's been months, no I think years that I haven't seen a bright ray of light nor being able to move from the corner of this room.

The reason why I'm here? I don't even know the answer to that. I have been asking the same question over and over.

What am I doing here?

Staring at the once bright silver looking cuffs now in a dull color, burning and stinging away at my fresh, pale wrists and ankles with every movement I would make. I don't understand the reason why, the need  to be chained up, it's not like I can get out in between the metal sticks that were on one of the sides of this room.

Drip, drop, drip, drop.

Lifting my gaze I shifted my attention to the little puddle of water that the drops had made, causing me to feel thirsty. I could really go for some water right now, it's been 5 days since the last time someone brought me food and water. I hope they aren't too busy today to forget to bring me somthing to eat.
Too weak to look around, I dropped my head downwards once more, letting out a sigh, watching how my breath turned into vapor once it hit contact with the cold air. I guess that time of year is about to arrive, when frozen water covers the lands in a white blanket.

Tired of sitting I decided to lay down shifting a bit from my spot, trying to be as comfortable as I could, with my head turned towards the stick like metal door. Hoping that someone would arrive with at least a piece of bread.

During my wait of hoping that a certain person would come and save me from starving, another question popped in my mind and it isn't the first time that it had happen to me and that was.

Who am I?

I can't seem to know my own name, I'm not even sure what I look like, only what I'm able to see. Pale skin that showed my bones due to the little bit of food I get and the few times someone brings me, and some what long black hair that ended just a bit below my waist that is all I know.

Time passed and little by little my eyes started to feel heavy, after a while finally I welcomed the darkness closing my eyes and drifting off into a deep slumber.

...

In a place far off from civilization on top of a mountain, in between trees and wild vegetation, a small village is seen. The village was formed by a various, few scattered houses made out of wood from the trees that they  were surrounded by. It can also be seen that the people who lived there reflected harmony and tranquility.

On top of the moutain there was a decent space where a somewhat mansion is located. In this grand house contained 10 rooms, a grand living room, five bathrooms, a kitchen, and a small porch. A grand house indeed to find in an unstable area.

Returning back to the village of small houses, there was one in specific that was a bit far off to the side from the rest. It was found in a small opening surrounded by huge pine trees, the wind swayed at the thick and soft grass  and on that grass there was a little girl that looked no more older than four years of age playing in the soft, green lush with the butterflies that from time to time tickled her face, causing her to giggle lightly while at the same time creating a warming bright smile.

"There you are. What are you doing out here missy?"  said a young male with dark brown hair, and brown eyes that could easily be confused with the color black. Walking towards the little girl who just giggled, while flashing a toothy smile. The eight year old boy reached down and picked her up.

"You know momma doesn't like us wondering of alone, although. How did you get out here by yourself?" said the boy while kissing playfuly the girl's chubby cheeks.

"Inigo, Mom said to come inside, lunch is ready!" yelled another male that was  much older than the previous one.

"Okay, geez Carter you don't have to yell." responded Inigo while shifting the girl to his other arm.

Carter the older male that had just turned seventeen smiled brightly while focusing his sight on the girl that Inigo held onto.

"Hey bro. Do you need any help with sis?" said the male, his dark bluish eyes shining in the sunlight.

"Nah, I got her." replied Inigo while walking towards the door.

"Aaaw.  Come on I want to hold her too. You get to be with her all the time, It's my turn." whined playfuly as he scooped his little brother and sister in one sudden movement. Earning a loud laugh from the 4 year old and a 'Hey' from the 8 year old.

Carter took a hold of his sister, resting her in his right arm, while holding Inigo in his left, bouncing them in the process.

"Hey, Inigo. How did you grew so fast?"

"Ha. Ha. Very funny Carter, I didn't grow up, you picked me up dummy." said the boy as he folded his arms.

"I did?" questioned Carter in a joking manner, while blowing at his face.

Until the four year old girl tugged roughly on Carter's some what long,  soft black and brownish hair. Causing him to yell an 'ouch' making his little brother to laugh.
They entered the house and into the kitchen, the three of them smiling and laughing happily. As their mother smiled softly at the heart warming scene.

"Alright boys. Wash your hands and Carter go get your father please." said their mom as she took her son and daughter from Carter's hold.
Carter only nodded happily as he went to go look for his father.
After eating and chatting, Carter, and his sibblings went outside to play around, where at times Inigo would pounce on his older brother and Carter would counter attack him by tickling his sides, other times they would both be making faces at their little sister or blowing on her little tummy.

To busy  playing around they hadn't notice, when the summer breeze and the cheerful chirping of birds had stopped for a while. Who would knew on that day, nothing will be the same as the silence had only been replaced by a terrified and desprate scream.

"CARTEEEEEEEEER!!!!"

And there goes the first chapter. Well this is the first time I'm trying to write in english so if you see any miss spelling or something that doesn't sound right, I'm sorry and please point them out to me if you don't mind whoever reads this I would be so greatful.
Some of the words I had to translate them with a english/spanish traslator dictionary.

I had written this story long ago somewhere around when I was 7 or 8  found it in a notebook that my mom had saved along with some other stuff from school when i was a kid, it wasn't finished but from what i could understand I liked how it was going so I thought why not write and finish it here.

I hope you liked this chapter, if you did leave a like (or vote I don't what it is), please comment if you like to and with that being said till next update.
