Dedicated to Dainz_Jenie.

Reality isn't easy, I had learned about that at a very young age. It has its ups it has its downs not all is going to be fine and we don't always get the life we dream of having.

My life wasn't the worst you could think of, there are others that are living a much more hellish time than I had, but, it still pains me knowing I couldn't do anything. It kills me that I wasn't there for her. For my sister.

...

I was only 16 at the time, a young boy going to school like any normal child. I have two loving parents and a little sister that I loved to hang out and play with her, she had really dark brown hair almost black like my mother, we shared the same honey green eyes and the same natural tan skin color from her.

"Areo! Wait for me!" exclaimed my sister as she ran towards me while trying to get her bookbag on.

"If you don't hurry up we'll be late for school." I smiled taking her small hand once she reached me.

"Yeah, yeah I know." She giggled a small smile formed on her lips, her hand gripping mine playfully, the other holding onto her bookbag.

We walked our way to school, chatting about things like our homework, projects that need to be done, and our plan of throwing a surprise birthday party for our father.

"Areo!" Called out a voice ever so familiar to me, once we reached the school gate.

"Kyle! What's up man." I responded as we did a bro fist bump.

"Great man, yesterday evening my dad began training me, can't you believe it!." He cheered happily.

"Really? That's great, papa told me he was gonna train me starting this Friday evening." I said as we resume walking into school grounds.

"Hey Everest how have you been doing?" He smiled at her.

"I've been doing great. We were just talking about how we're going to throw a surprise party for papa!" She replied as she tucked a strand of her dark brown hair behind her ear.

"Oh really! I can help if you like." Offered my best friend.

"We would love that very much." She smiled brightly.

"Hey I wanna help too." Spoke another male that I knew well.

"Daniel!" Shouted my little sister as she ran to him attacking the poor boy in one of her famous bear hugs.

"What's up girl!" Smiled Daniel, freeing an arm out of her tight hold, he placed it on her head messing her hair up.

Daniel, Kyle and I have known each other since we were around the age of seven. We met on a day when our parents decided to do a cook out, as we went fishing, on that day Daniel had caught a fish way too big and heavy for him to handle, to the point that Kyle and I had to help him out, that's how our friendship started, since then we have become such great friends.

As for Everest they met her on her fifth birthday, it started when I had invited them to her birthday party. The three of us went to my room to play videogames to kill the time till they were going to cut the cake, that's when she bolted in trying to get me to go outside to play with her.

After a while of her whining Kyle had proposed a deal that if she beats him in a game that the three of us would go out to play with her if not she would have to leave. Of course she agreed, Kyle was confident in that he was going to win while Daniel cheered on Everest saying that she was going to leave him in shame, which turned out true as my little sister had won against him three times in a row.
