Crazy Games - Divergent - Eric/OC

Chapter four

After we all shower, Alexis, Bec and I separate from the boys to go shopping. We’re supposed to meet for dinner and then head to the tattoo parlor. I know the moment we’ll get far enough from Kevin and Josh, I’m gonna be attacked by their questions. So I decide to start this myself. “Alright I know you’re dying to know what happened. Just stop looking at me like that already and ask.” I say to both of them shrugging.

“What happened? Why were you and Eric so close? Did he do anything to you?” Bec asks me quietly.

“Sam, explain immediately. Were you trying to seduce Eric? You were obviously flirting with him.” Alexis asks in her own way.

I have two very different friends. They both have witnessed the same thing and yet have totally different opinions. It’s kind of funny. I think I’m somewhere in between though. Not so kind hearted and caring, like Bec, but also not so blunt and you know, Candor, like Alexis. “You guys are both asking me about the same thing, right? It seems like two very different matters when you put it like that.” I look from one to another.

“Come on, I’m dying here. Just answer both of our questions already.” Alexis says growing impatient.

“Alright, alright.” I start but don’t know what to say. So I review what happened once in my head quickly before continuing. “Well I’m not sure how the whole thing happened exactly but it was something like this. I didn’t hit the target and laughed about it…”

“Why would you laugh?” Alexis interrupts me. I look at her and she nods her head and says apologetically “Go on.”

“So I thought it was funny but Eric got irritated I guess and tried to fix my stance. But he was so close and I was suddenly tense. You know I couldn’t help it. I’m just not used to that kind of thing. I wasn’t thinking, my body reacted on its own accord. He noticed and made fun of me and said that he’s not gonna eat me.” Bec’s eyes go wide when I said that.

“Oh man. He’s good.” Alexis comments, grinning a bit.

 I sigh and go on. “So I was embarrassed. Again he made fun of me and I got mad. So I decided to turn the tables on him and acted a bit flirty to get back to him. It worked.” I say quickly. Alexis wants to say something but I hold up my hand to stop her and say “And yes, I know he’s not gonna let it go soon but it felt so good to see him shocked. I say it was worth it.”

“I hope you say that after Eric’s payback too.” Bec says smiling softly and then continues “But it was brave.”

“Hell yeah, I had no idea you could play like that Sam. But he won’t just sit there and do nothing. I’m sure he would do something to show he has the upper hand. He just strikes me as that kind of man.” Alexis says amused.

“I think you’re right. But honestly, I had no idea I could do that either.” I say while laughing as we walk into the pit. Shopping time.

We all got clothes. I bought a few tank tops, two pants, a jacket, black underwear and shorts to sleep in at night. We also bought some make up to reward ourselves. Of course Alexis and I had to convince Bec to buy some. Alexis kept pushing everything into our hands, asking us to try them on. She was one of those shopaholic girls. With all the enthusiasm and excited eyes. I was never like that, but it’s cool to have a friend like that. She makes shopping so fun. Bec and I were just following her around, letting her enjoy the shopping time.

We finally decide that we can’t spend any more of our points for this shopping since we wanted tattoos and we needed some points for the weekend. So Bec and I practically drag Alexis out of the shops and head to the dining hall for dinner.
