Tony sat in the dungeons by his sister's side, aimlessly fiddling with the silver bracelet. "What are we going to do now, Bella?" he asked calmly.
He received no answer.
"Maria?"
Silence.
He looked at Maria. "Sis, are you okay?"
Maria's head was hung as she shook with sobs. "My fault... t-t-this i-is all m-m-my f-f-fault..."
Tony pulled her close. "Ssh... It's not your fault, sis. This is just how things were supposed to happen-"
"Don't try and make it sound like everything will be okay, Tony!" she snapped, her voice pained and trembling. "This isn't going to turn out okay unless God were to descend and let us out himself!"
Tony rose an eyebrow, leaning back. "I don't think I've ever heard you snap at me before."
Maria's whole expression went from furious to terrified. "I-I-I'm s-s-sorry-"
"No, it's okay. It's kinda cute." He cracked a smile. "Remember how Susanne always called you spineless?"
"Y-Y-Yeah..."
"Looks like she was wrong." He chuckled, looking around. "And hey, this is no different than our rooms at home, is it?"
She smiled faintly, looking around. "Y-Yeah... i-it is."
"Get some nice curtains for the window, maybe a throw pillow or two in the corner- this could be a nice little home-away-from-home, couldn't it?"
She giggled. "Yeah, maybe."
Tony smiled, getting to his feet and scaling the wall to the window. "We could do pull-ups so we get our daily dose of exercise-"
Maria stood, as well. "We could always play tic-tac-toe on the tiles-"
"And we would always have each other, so we'd never get lonely!" Tony dropped to the ground.
Both of them broke into laughter.
Maria looked up at him with a bright smile. "How do you do it, Tony?"
Tony shrugged, chuckling. "I dunno. I'm just lucky I have a lot of time on my hands."
A guard walked over to their cell, and they both turned and went red in the face. Unlike the men in black, this guard was a female wearing a black skin-tight uniform that showed off just a bit more than anything they had seen. The woman's long black hair fell down to her waist, accentuating the inhuman figure she had. The only source of color on her pale skin were her fingernails and lips, both painted a pure rose red, and her eyes: one was a warm golden hue while the other was an angry fiery red. "Hello, you two," she said in a voice that sounded like it could literally melt someone's soul.
"Hello... miss," Tony said slowly.
"Wh-Who are you?" Maria asked.
"I'm here to help." The woman picked the lock with her fingernail as a glamour dropped, revealing pure black eyes and a makeup-less face that still seemed inhumanly beautiful. The outfit turned into a long blue dress with a flowing red cloak and black combat boots as she looked at them, opening the door. "Here you go."
"Thanks." Tony went to step out, but the woman took his hand and picked the lock on the bracelet. "What-"
"It's a magic depletor. It's fairly weak, but it's still potent." She did the same for Maria. "Now, where's the dragon?"
"J-Johnny? He's that way," Maria said, pointing.
The woman smiled. "Thanks, Maria. Come on, now, and stay close." She went to head down the hall.
