"Now the following will be getting their six months raise," I can hear a lady announce. This place is odd on how it works. Never in my life I have I ever witnessed a business hold a little award ceremony for things like this. But it is what it is. As the women list off a couple of names, my attention is tied to a man walking over to me. He has hair gelled over the right and is wearing a black tux with a white button up. He has a slight amount of makeup on too. Maybe just foundation and a smoky eye look.
It's as if God forgot to stop pouring his jar of handsome in his mixing pot until the jar was completely out. Or possibly the devil took a human form. The man sits down right next to me and takes a hold of my hand. "And earlier you said to not let the others see me make my way to your office, Jeon Jungkook," I whisper to him with a bit of sarcasm in my voice. "Also how are you late your own event?"
Jungkook shrugs and leans back into his chair. "These award things aren't my doing. My father plans them out. Plus look at these eyes." The lady announces some more names before Jungkook leans over to whisper some more things. "Jimin, these people will for surely think we're doing what we're actually doing when I announce who the replacement. Might as well let these people have some real evidence."
This man must not really care about how others will react. Well now that I think of it, if someone has any issues, he can just get rid of them. Plus the amount of work I get is a bit more than the other people get that work with me. That's because I need to be able to actually do more work as a personal assistant. This last week has been me preparing for this position, and it's been a little rough.
"Wouldn't it be smart to make people think I'm a personal assistant for more than just personal reasons?" Even though I can prove I'm worthy of this position, we all know the main reason. "I would be putting the 'personal' in personal assistant." Jungkook laughs hearing me before nodding in disagreement. This man better be able to deal with his workers' rumors. I like to keep a nice reputation.
Time flies by as we wait for the moment who would be the next personal assistant. In the time spent waiting, I do come up and do the speech we prepared. It was about how everyone is doing amazing and that our profits are higher than ever. I'm glad Jungkook told me it was long earlier because in just three minutes I was losing myself. There was cheers and then Jungkook makes his way up. It must be seven already. Yay!
"Good evening everyone," he starts off. "I guess it's now time for who will be replacing Mrs. Dae. For most of you, this won't be a surprise." The crowd sighs hearing him. "Clearly, I'm correct about that statement. Now onto who it is..." He looks back me shortly. "Mr. Park would you please take a step forward. You are my new personal assistant." Everyone claps as I walk forward and bow. No one seems disappointed that I'm up here, so that must be a good thing. Hopefully they all see me as a great assistant and not just some person Jungkook loves to have around.
After the big announcement of the new personal assistant, everyone starts to slowly leave their seats and head over to the small buffet of food that was prepared during the awards. With the attention off of the stage, Jungkook and I slowly get out of here. Neither of us planned on staying for the food even though he planned the whole buffet himself. Sometimes I wonder if this man in the right mind. Anyways, we head slowly through the crowd and to the exit.
No one really seemed to notice us leaving. Some people stopped us to congrats me or say a quick word to Jungkook. It was a quick escape if I say so myself. Typically in these scenarios you can't leave, no matter what because people want to talk so much or it's just too crowded to leave.
As soon as we exit, we go separate ways to our cars. Sadly, I have to walk a greater distance then the other. The consequences I pay for forgetting things. Getting in, I hear the engine of a car way nicer than mine pull up. Turning around, the window of this nice car rolls down and a smiling Jungkook shows up.
"My house or yours?" His or mine?... Oh...
"I like your house a lot more," I smile back at the goof in front of me who is celebrating me not rejecting the idea of spending the night together. "I do need to stop by my house though so I can get clothing for tomorrow."
Jungkook nods before responding, "I'll follow you back and just take you to my place in my car. I know you like riding in this more than that." It's true I did. It was always fun when we go driving around in his 2019 Ferrari Italia. It was a nice shiny red too.
We both head back to my place in a timely manner. It was starting to get kind of late and the award ceremony was draining. The less time we spend here, the more time we can spend at his house. Not saying I hate this place, it's just more enjoyable when I'm over there. Once I pull up, Jungkook then pulls up behind me. We both get out and walk up to my place together.
"Jungkook, I know your dad plans all of this stuff, but why did you want to leave early?" I ask when I finally get to my room to pack some clothing. This question was in my head earlier when I went to his office and he told me that we were to leave early.
My house goes silent after my question, and this man is never silent unless he's working. Maybe he just didn't hear me and is waiting on my couch. Sometimes he does that, but that's a rarity. He can hear most things, plus he's always up for a chat. He's also kind of clingy.
Once my bag is packed, I head out to the living room area in hopes to find Jungkook. In the room, he is no where to be seen. "Kook?" My voice is weak not knowing where the CEO was. And he knows I hate the feeling of being left.
A soft kiss is placed behind my ear as arms wrap around my waist. "I'm still here," a sigh escapes my lips hearing that man's voice. Soon the kisses start to fall down my neck and to my collarbone. "Sorry to worry you any. I just went to get a drink of water," Jungkook says softly, stopping his kisses.
I shift to face him as I speak, "I just didn't know where you were. Now should we start heading out?" He gives me a small peck on my lips before practically dragging me out to his car. For whatever reason, he really wants us to do something. I can't really tell what he wants to do.
School started for me around the time of my last update and his has mentally and physically drained me. So updates might be a bit slower, sorry.
