"Oi, Andy"

At the sound of his name he sprints away as fast as his legs will carry him. They are fast approaching, the gap closing.

In a final attempt to escape he suddenly turns the corner, but it was unsuccessful as one of them grabs the back of his collar making Andy choke from sudden lack of oxygen.

"How pathetic can you get?"

"What even was the point in running we can obviously catch up."

As much as Andy knows these words shouldn't phase him anymore, they do. Each comment leaves a scar mentally or physically.

Clamping his eyes closed he awaits the first hit. Shaking in terror, the anticipation kills him.

Until it finally arrives.

[...]

Left, crying and covered head to toe in blood, the feeling of abandonment lingers over him.

[...]

2 years later...

Now Andy has drastically matured as well as his bullies, he saw one of them the other day for the first time in about a year. The bully has kids now and was sincerely apologetic for the past.

Andy forgave because he has a job and a stable life with lots of good people around him.

[...]

Tiredly Andy drags himself to bed after a long day. Eyes half ajar, he swiftly turns off his light. He feels any tension leave his body as his head burys deep into the pillow.

Within 2 minutes he is asleep.

[...]

"Stop p-please."

The malicious smirks he hates were once again upon the faces that he dread.

"Did you really think we would leave you alone?"

"You're just as pathetic as you were before."

He watches as one of their shoes jabs into his side, the pain intensely real. As the torture continues every wound, every hit leaves Andy in immense pain.

Screaming, he bolts up still lying in bed. He's got a cold sweat and is vigorously panting.

It's fine, he's use to it by now.

This happens at least another 6 times in the space of one night, every night.

The memories haunt him, and torture him every time he tries to rest, get away from the world. Tormenting his head every night Andy knows it may never go away. That's just his reality.

He forgives but can never forget...

I don't really like this one but I wanted to do this concept so here you go.

I also want to raise awareness that not only girls experience mental wealth issues so do boys and it's just as serious both ways. Don't think a boy will just 'man up' and get on with it because chances are he won't and can't just like girls often can't.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter,
