After Tactics 101 with Gambit ended, which is a class that teaches how to survive out in battle no matter what position you decide to play, I went to History 101. History 101 is just a basic run through of all the sins and virtues and the history of the cataclysm, which is taught by Shae Sinclair. After those two classes I had a free period because I didn't pick out my other four specified classes yet, so I decided to wander around the academy. I ended up in the library and I found a book on specialization, so I figured I'd read it before my General Education class that way I'd hopefully know more about what I want to choose after my four classes are over for today. I asked Shae when I'd learn about them and he told me that I should learn all the basics in Aptitude Training later this afternoon.

From what the book said, it looks like there are four different positions to play. I could either choose to go for offense, defense, healer, or support. Offense focuses primarily on attacking, whether long range or short range. Defense focuses on protecting everyone else around you and by making it difficult for the enemy to reach you. Healer focuses on healing those who are wounded and getting civilians and others to safety when needed. They also help with minor defense. Support works on backing up anyone who needs it and are supposed to be flexible in their abilities. They usually work in the middle of the field. They're also supposed to be good at causing diversions and traps. There are multiple different types of classifications just within those four as well, such as people who work with bows compared to people who work with knives, swords, potions, guns, or any other things.

After reading for about forty minutes, I had to make my way to General Education with Raciel Lornhart, which teaches you things you would learn in a regular high school education and serves to help keep those skills strengthened. To be honest though, Raciel just gave us work to do and then he fell asleep at his pedestal for the entire class period, so I don't know how productive it'll actually be. I then went back to the library to read more because I had another free period before lunch, as well as one after lunch. As of now, I'm on my way to my last filled in class of the day, which is Aptitude Training. I'm supposed to have one more class after this one, but I'll just have another free period. I'll probably have to go to the headmaster's office to pick which classes I'll want to be taking during that time.

Aptitude Training takes place behind the giant wooden doors in the main corridor by the wings the professors teach in, so I start to make my way there. Upon arriving, I take a deep breath to ready myself before I push the doors open and my eyes widen upon the sight before me, although I guess I shouldn't be too surprised at this point. Before me is a wide open area with a stone fountain, stone pathways, and rose hedges that line the pathways and lead to the fountain in the center of the open area. Up above is nothing but blue sky and clouds, no roof to be seen. The area itself stretches for what looks like a mile. Beyond the fountain there are more stone pathways that lead to giant rectangular areas of stone space framed by rose hedges. There are six different stone spaces in total and each space is as big as a professor's room.

"About time," Gambit's lips twitch into an amused smile as she stands there in front of the fountain, one of her hands on her hip and her wrists covered by black and purple gauntlets.

"Gambit?" I raise my eyebrows and briefly glance down at my card to realize that Gambit is also the professor of this class.

"That's right," Gambit starts. "I teach Tactics 101, Aptitude Training, and Advanced Combat. So, get used to me. Well, are you going to just stand there forever? Come on, kid."

"It feels kind of weird to have you call me kid..." I mutter as I walk over to her, having earlier learned that she's only nineteen.

"Suck it up," Gambit deadpans before she turns on her heel and waves for me to follow her.
