Chapter 15 - Bugaw (Edited)

KYLE'S POV

The ocean breeze welcomed me as I sat down to its sand. I’ve been always enchanted by its beauty. Akala ko hindi ko na makikita ‘to.

Isn’t ironic, as the sun rises giving hope for the people , my heart  sank with the moon.

“ Alam mo , sometimes having a family sucks. Papakialaman nila buhay mo , they’ll try to shape it the way they want it to. Pero that’s only because they love you and they care.”  Bigla nalang siyang tumabi sa’kin. Do I know him?

Maybe he thought I was Kyla. I think he’s a friend of her.

“ You must be mistaken. I’m not Kyla” He didn’t listen to me . Nakatingin  pa rin siya sa kawalan , lost in his thoughts.

“ You should be happy kasi may pamilya ka pang uuwian. Yung iba nga wala na.”

“ Do you think that I don’t love my family? Wala kang alam. You’re just a stranger putting his nose into someone’s life.”

Malungkot siyang ngumiti sa’kin bago tumayo.

“Am I really the stranger?”

What happened back there was unexpected. Somehow I feel him but I don’t know what he means. It’s almost time for breakfast kaya I’ve decided to go back. As I entered the house , I saw them having fun.

They’re all laughing.

And here I am watching them from afar.  Now that I think of it, I ‘m the real stranger.

How sad.

“ Oh Princess you’re back!” sigaw ni kuya Kiel. Tumigil sa katatawa sina Lolo at napatingin sa direksyon ko. Dapat pala hindi na ako bumalik para tumatawa pa rin sila hanggang ngayon.

“ Apo! Halika , nagluto ang kapatid mo ng paborito mo.” He smiled at me at pinagusog ako ng upuan.

“ Oh Sissy eto yung paborito mo. Kain ka alng ng kain , nangangayayat ka na eh” nilagyan niya ang plato ko ng kain at ulam. Pinagsisilbihin nila ako  pero bakit?

“ Namiss ka lang nila , princess “ bulong sa’kin ni Kuya Kiel.

The food was heavenly. Nakuha talaga ni Kyla ang cooking skills ni Mama.

Tanging tunog lang ng mga kubyertos at kutsara ang maririnig. The silence is awkward. I’m awkward.

“ So , Apo kamusta ka naman? Don’t get so worked up , atleast learn to have fun”

“ Oo nga sissy. Take one step at a time , everything will be alright” sang-ayon ni Kyla.

I sipped my drink

“I’m okay naman Lo. Kailangan kong tapusin ang mga paperworks sa AU , next week will be its University days.”

“ Yosh! I’ll help you tutal wala naman akong ginagawa. Next month pa uuwi dito si Ate Aika niyo”

Sana all umuuwi ang jowa.

Ate Aika is Kuya Kiel’s girlfriend for almost 7 years already . I sense a wedding proposal this year hmmm.
