Chapter 20

(TAEHYUNG)

"Are you sure about that hyung? I mean, you only just made a blood test, that's not enough evidence" I asked Jin hyung who just sighed.

"Why does it all matter now Taehyung? She's a doll you made in the first place, this is not a fairy-tale and she's not Pinocchio who was once a puppet and was turned into a boy. You have to accept this is reality"

"Hyung, Lisa was a doll but she can turn into a human! How can you explain that?" I was starting to become impatient.

"But if we continue this, you might get hurt by the outcome Tae. I've seen worst with Taelie, and I don't even want to imagine now with Lisa"

I was speechless about what he said. Jin hyung's right, I was hurt when I lost Taelie, and I'll die if Lisa will be taken away from me too.

"Hyung, I love her"

"I know Taehyung. I know"

I drove straight back home once work was over. I parked the car in the garage and heaved out a sigh.

I still can't believe all of this, and I'm scared. I don't want to Lisa like the way I lost my daughter, she's the only person I had aside from my friends. I was out of my trance when my phone started ringing. I read who the caller was and my frustration grew even more.

"What do you want now Joohyun?" I asked once I answered the phone.

"Good evening to you too Taehyung, how are you?"

"I have no time to joke around with you Joohyun, just tell me what you want and get lost!"

"I still want you Taehyung, can't you just accept me again? I promise I won't hurt you like what I did before and I know somewhere inside your heart, you still love me"

"Cut the crap Joohyun. I don't love you anymore and in fact I regretted that I did" I hissed and I know she won't be giving up anytime soon.

"Is it becuase of your little magical doll Lisa?"

I froze on what she said. How did she know that Lisa was a doll?

"A little birdy told me Tae. I didn't know you were that desperate for love that you made a plastic girl"

"I'd rather have a plastic girl who can give me real love than to have you who's more plastic inside and out" I said and she just chuckled.

"Your words don't hurt me Taehyung. I love you so much than to believe those things"

"You're crazy"

"I can get crazier if you don't come back to me Tae. I won't spread your little secret since I know no one will believe me---"

"Glad you knew" I cut her off.

"But I have other plans, and it's not for you. But for your little dolly"

"Do you really think I'll love you again if you ever do something to Lisa? I don't know what you had eaten but you're sick"

"Insult me while you can Taehyung, but you'll be crawling back to me once I start my plan"

"I'm not scared, and I'll protect Lisa every chance I got"

"You can't protect her always Tae. Good luck with that"

I hung up the phone and ran my fingers to my hair. When will she ever stop?

"Tae?"

I looked outside of my car and saw Lisa waving at me. I smiled and got out of the car and run towards her.

"What are you doing here outside?" I asked her and kissed her forehead.

"I was waiting for you inside when I heard your car, but you weren't coming out so I decided to go to you" she answered and smiled.

"Are you waiting too long?" I asked and she shooked her head cutely.

I smiled when she suddenly hugged me. But my smile faltered when I remembered what Jin hyung said earlier. I hugged her back tight and put her head on my chest.

I'll do anything for you Lis, I'll protect you no matter what because I don't wanna lose you.

"It's getting cold, let's go inside?" She nodded at me and I wrapped my arm around her as we walk inside the house.

"Is there anything wrong Tae?"

"What?"

"You've been spacing out"

I shake my head as an answer and pulled her towards me. We're both laying on my bed, getting ready for sleep.

"How did you know I was spacing out?" I asked her.

"You were blankly staring at your laptop and you're not typing anything" she answered and she laid her head on my chest.

"I was just thinking" I said.

"About what?"

"About how you'll look stunning in a white gown, walking down the aisle once I propose to you" I said and placed my laptop on my bedside table.

"How will you know I say yes?" She asked and I pinched her cheek.

"Why? You'll say no?" I asked her and acted as if I'm hurt.

"No! I mean, if you'll ask, maybe I'll reconsider" she shyly said and I kissed her nose.

"You're so cute Lis, and don't worry. I'll make sure you'll say yes" I said and she just hugged my waist.

"Go to sleep. You're so cheesy" I laughed and hugged her back.

"You like it though" I said and she just hummed.

"But Tae, what if. I won't become a human like what we expected?" She asked and I just draw little circles on her arm.

"I'd still love you the same way. It won't ever  change"

A short chapter. I'm sorry if I'm not updating recently. I'm running out of ideas and I admit, when I started this story, I didn't thoroughly planned the plot so now, I'm suffering on how to continue and end the story, but don't worry, I won't stop until I get a wonderful ending for this story.
