I was really glad that Em came with me to the party tonight. Throughout our whole break she was the only person on my mind. When I was in the studio all I did was write songs about her. Some days I couldn't get out of bed because I knew she wouldn't be making breakfast or doing her make up in the bathroom or even just sleeping next to me. Us just being apart from one another made me realise how much I loved her and how much more i'm going to fight for her. Recently she's been hanging out with that Neels guy more often. I hate the fact that she's single now and he could easily make a move on her. I couldn't help but get an empty feeling in my stomach at the thought of her moving on with a guy that wasn't me. When I saw her at the award show I knew I had to say something before she slipped out of my fingers.
When we arrived at the party I was so excited. I would have Emily to myself all night. As soon as we arrived we were met with the two hostesses: Kendall and Hailey. I really didn't want to see Hailey, we hadn't talked since we broke things off and I didn't want her to give Em the wrong idea. Kendall hugs Em and then hugs me, "it's so great to see you guys." Hailey just hugs Em and stands awkwardly looking down at her foot. "The party looks great ken," Em says a smile on her face. Before it could get any more awkward Kendall and Hailey had to attend to the other guests which left me and Em to get some drinks. The night was so much fun. We had a few drinks and danced. By the end of the night Em was really drunk, but I promised myself that I wouldn't get drunk so I could looks after her. When we finally got to our condo she instantly fell onto the bed. I give her my shirt that would definitely be oversized on her, "babe do you want to wear my shirt." She lets out a light laugh, "I can't wear your shirt." I join her on the bed, "and why's that?" She puts her hand on my cheek and rubs over my scar with her thumb. "Because I like shawn, and if I wear your shirt he might get the wrong idea." I couldn't hide the smile on my face, "well I am shawn." She crooks her head and looks in my eyes before saying "well if your shawn then I need to do this," she leans in and connect her lips with mine.
