Emily's POV

Today was the day of the Met Gala.

It was shawn and I's first Met Gala and we decided to go as each others "date".

It was obvious that we had feeling for each other. Every time we were in the room together we would immediately make eye contact . I couldn't help admire when he laughed and his small dimples showed.

When we got to the met gala, we took pictures at the red carpet. Shawn once again showed me how much of a gentleman he is and helped me with my dress.

As soon as we got inside of the venue we were met with the one and only Camilla Cabello. I had heard many rumours that her and shawn used to date.I couldn't help but feel slightly self conscious standing next to Camilla.

Shawn and Camilla were talking about things they've done in the last few months. "I'll go get us drinks," I say no longer wanting to he part of that awkward conversation.

While I was getting a drink, I noticed that camilla put her hand on Shawn's arm. I felt angry. I don't know why I felt so angry, Shawn can do whatever he wants with whoever he wants, but deep down in my stomach I was incredibly jealous. Maybe it was just a harmless action but I couldn't help but feel like she was flirting with him.

I handed shawn his drink and took a sip of mine. "So are you two like together?" Camilla asks and I nearly spit my drink out.

"No, definitely not," I look at shawn and he had the same reaction as me.

"Yeah, we're just friends." Shawn looks away from me awkwardly. And then everyone becomes silent. Wow thanks for making the conversation awkward Camilla. Shawn broke the silence by saying " it was nice talking to you Milla but me and Em have to go"

"Where are we going" I ask shawn.
"I feel like getting ice cream". I laugh at the fact that we would he going to an ice cream shop in midnight with our red carpet looks.

Once we got our ice cream we sat on a park bench. "You're cute when you're jealous," Shawn says out of nowhere causing me to look up at him with my mouth open in shock.

"What are you talking about?" I set my spoon down in the ice cream bowl.

"At the party. You were totally jealous. Did you think I wouldn't notice. " Even though his head was down i knew that shawn had an amused look in his eyes.

"I was totally not jealous" I say as I crook my eyebrows at him.

"You so were Em, I'm not stupid" He let out a low chuckle.

"I may have been a tad jealous, so.." I couldn't help but blush at what I just admitted.

"Like I said it was cute." He was now looking in my eyes while he bit his lip.

I sighed heavily, letting him know that I was aggravated and returned back to my bowl of ice cream, a huge pout on my lips.

"You had no reason to be jealous. I was there with you, I wasn't gonna give anyone else my attention." I fought back a smile, still keeping my focus on my bowl of ice cream. "EMILY" He kicked my leg under that table , something that he loved to do. I looked up at him.

"Stop" I said trying to sound remotely serious.

"Em" He kicked my leg one more time. So i dipped my finger in the now melted ice cream and smeared it on his cheek. Shawn's jaw dropped and I immediately started laughing."oh you are so on"

While we were covering each others faces in ice cream i reached out to shawn but we both tripped and I fell on top of him. The laughter died down and we were both left staring in each other eyes.

"Will you be my girlfriend" shawn had a serious look in his face while his eyes flicked from my eyes to my lips.

"I'd love too" we both lean in and press our lips together. It was like nothing I've felt before . Even though i've kissed shawn before it was never like this. Never as my boyfriend.

I suddenly pulled away from shawn. "Hey were you going" I couldn't help but smile at the cute expression on his face. I grabbed his hand, pulling him to stand up next to me.

"Dance with me" I say quietly, stepping closer to him.

"Spontaneous , now are we ?" He chuckles lightly before gently pulling me into his chest.

"Definitely spontaneous" I laugh.

I slid my arms around his neck, his arms moving to my mid back. I rested my head on his chest and closed my eyes as we started swaying.

After a while of dancing around with shawn, it started to get cold and I was exhausted after the long day we just had. " As much as I hate being the one to end tonight, I'm really tired."

He smiled down at me and pecked the top of my head. "Okay sleepyhead, lets get you back to the hotel."
