It has been a month already.

The doctor let me go since my body was getting better, but i should go to the hospital every week for the stitches and eye check.

"Alright, you are good to go."Doctor Jonathan grabbed his pen and wrote down somes notes on his clipboard "Your eye is still not looking the best, but if you happen to lose the eyesight from your right eye would you like-"

"No,it is fine,i want to avoid the hospital for the time being apart from our check up appointments.Besides,i wouldn't be that lucky."

Softly chuckling,my fingers slightly traced my right eye.

"An eye for an eye."I looked up at him."Serves me right and it's only fair."

Jonathan sighed, resting a hand on my shoulder, slightly giving it a squeeze.

"An eye for an eye and the world goes blind Vincent. But if you change your mind and want to get the eye surgery, just let me know and i will be here to help."

With a smile and a small pat on my back,he grabbed his clipboard."Go to the front desk and sign up some papers, after that you are free to leave."

"Thank you doc,i will see you next week." Returning the smile,i grabbed a backpack with clothes that Scott brought the other day.

Walking inside the bathroom holding in my hands the new clothes,i looked at myself in the mirror.

Carefully and slowly my hands removed the hospital gown, feeling the thin fabric slowly falling from my injured body.

For weeks i have been avoiding to look at this mess  that i call my body.

The stitches, the marks, the scars that this fateful night have left on me.

I see them all on my body, carved  on me for the rest of my life.

I hesitate, but my trembling long fingers brush against the deep scars and stitches that lay on my still alive body and flesh.

Would have been better if i died?

I shake that thought away, grabbing the white shirt and putting it over my head, following with the pair of grey sweatpants.

"Much better,i don't look like a dying person now." I slightly smile,an attempt to get my mood up.

After getting ready,i existed the hospital room, making my way towards the front desk.

The lady at the front smiled, passing me the papers to sign along with a pen.

I gave her a small smile, signing the last paper, giving it back to her.

"Look out for yourself Vincent, take care."

"This time,i will, thank you." I gave her a reassuring smile, turning around and heading to the douple doors.

I felt my heart beating,my hand resting on the handle as i pushed the door.

The warm sunlight brushed against my skin, making the corners of my mouth perk up.

The sun was up on the clear blue sky, people were walking outside enjoying the nice weather, birds singing to this beautiful day of spring.

"What a shame to die on such a beautiful day."

I enhaled the fresh oxygen,my lungs feeling happy about reseving such fresh air.

Walking outside of the hospital grounds,my hands brushed through some blooming flowers, feeling the petals caressing my fingertips.
