The fire was spreading fast in the office, slowly covering the building.

I looked over to Elizabeth and Michael.

His wire body was pressed against the wall,as the figure of Baby was sitting next to him.

I walked towards them, and they looked up at me.

Their eyes.

Their eyes held something different.

Relief.

Baby gently leaned against the mass of wires that was her big brother.

Their eyes lost their shine.

They passed on.

They were finally free.

My eye shifted towards the exit.

The flames didn't spread towards it just yet.

Everyone has passed on.

But,I am still here.

Should I leave?

Would it be selfish?

But what if I need to take that second chance in my life?

I survived for a reason.

Live to make my life better.

I kneeled down to the empty shells that my son and daughter possessed, pressing my forehead against them and holding them close.

"Rest now my children. You deserve it."

With a long exhale,I stepped away and rushed towards the exit.

The doors were still unlocked,so I pushed them open, dashing outside.

I turned back, seeing the flames were wrapping around the exit, making the doors to fall down.

It wasn't completely dark outside.

In fact, the time was close for the sun to come up in the sky.

I felt my body guiding me towards the car and sitting on the driver's seat.

My fingers slightly gripped the wheel, pressing my forehead against it.

Selfish.

Coward.

These words were going around my head.

But was it selfish?

Just because i wanted to live?

They wanted to be free, and now they are free.

There is a reason I survived in the first place.

I lifted up my head, releasing the brake and turning the car around.

I was given a second chance.

~~

My mind felt empty.

Was i still feeling bad?

Yes.

But if I really needed to die, wouldn't I have in the springlock?

Absolutely.

I exhaled deeply, driving on the empty road towards my house.

The sun was up at the horizon, feeling the rays of sunlight gently laying upon my figure.

I smiled.

I smiled because now I knew everything was settled and over.

My fingers gently gripped at the wheel as i wore the smile on my face.
