“Can I borrow this band shirt?” Emily asked.

“Huh?”

“Dani. This band shirt. Can I borrow it?” Emily asked again, sticking her hand out of my closet. I glanced at the Panic! At The Disco shirt she was holding and rubbed my head.

“Oh, uh, yeah sure.” I answered. Emily backed out of the closet with my band shirt.

“What the matter? You seem out of it.” She said, waking over to where I was sitting on my bed.

“Sorry. I just…. I have a headache.” I said. Emily nodded and patted my shoulder.

“You know what would make you feel better? Texting that cute guy from the mall.” Emily smiled and grabbed my phone.

“Ugh. I hate being the one to start the conversation when if comes to guys.” I groaned, laying back on my bed.

“Oh come on.” Emily whined.

“Fine. But you’re buying me coffee tomorrow.” I said. Emily nodded while I snatched my phone away from her hands and unlocked it. I was just about to send Ross a text when my phone beeped.

“Hey Dani, it’s Ross:)”  It said.

“Who was that?” Emily asked, peeking over my shoulder. I pushed her nosy face away and replied.

“Hey Ross. How’s it going?” I texted back. A few short moments later, my phone beeped again.

“It’s going. Hey, listen, I was wondering if you wanted to meet up again tomorrow?” He said.

“What’s going on? What’s he saying? Tell me!” Emily whined. I rolled my eyes.

“He wants to meet up with me tomorrow. What should I say?” I asked. Emily through a pillow at my face.

“You should say yes! Duh. I can’t believe you would even ask that, Dani. When a cute boy asks you if you want to meet up, you don’t question it. You say yes, god dammit.”

“Ok, jeez.” I said.

“Yeah, of course!”  I typed in, but then erased because I sounded too desperate.

“Yeah, sounds fun.”

“I’ll text you tomorrow.” Ross replied.

“Alright, bye.” I sent.

“So? Do you have a date tomorrow with hot guy?” Emily asked. I picked up the pillow she threw at me and threw it back.

“It’s not a date, it’s a meet up and yes! Yes I do!” I exclaimed.

“Ahhhhh!” She screamed. I screamed with her because it was unreal to me.

“Shut up!” I heard Patricia shout from outside my door.

“Kiss my ass.” I shouted back and then continued to scream with Emily, because hey, I had a date tomorrow.
