Your POV

"Hey, Y/n?" I heard Jc call out as he walked towards my room.

I stretched my limbs as I waited for him to walk in, realizing there was an arm around my waist.

I completely forgot Lauren stayed here last night.

I wanted to jump up to get to the door before Jc walked in, but Lauren's grip on my waist kept me in place.

"Hey, have you seen my- whoa..." Jc trailed off as he realized I had someone in the bed with me.

"That's not Camila," he said, pointing at Lauren.

"Shut up before you wake her up," I whisper yelled at him.

"I'm sorry," he said. "Have you seen my portable charger?"

I went to answer when Lauren grumbled a little and moved to get a better grip on my waist.

"I swear if you woke her up," I told Jc.

"Wait... is that Lauren?" He asked.

"It's on my desk. Can you leave?" I asked back, trying to see if Lauren was still sleeping.

"You're explaining this to me later," he said as he grabbed his charger and left the room.

I let out a sigh, hoping that by some miracle Lauren hadn't woken up.

"He's so fucking loud," she mumbled into my chest.

Goddamnit Jc.

"Correct," I told her.

"Why did he say that I wasn't Camila?" She asked, lifting her head to properly talk to me.

Oh, I'm going to fucking kill him.

"I haven't really hung out with anyone except Camila since we stopped hanging out," I told her.

Hey, it wasn't a complete lie.

"Camila who? Do I know her?" She asked.

Oh, do you know her...

"Cabello," I told her honestly.

Lying would get us nowhere.

"I thought so. You guys are close again?" She asked, playing with the hem of my shorts.

I bit my lip slightly. She needed to stop doing that unless she wanted to start something.

"Yea, she's helped me a lot over the past couple months," I told her.

I was trying to emphasize the fact that we were strictly friends.

"That's cool," Lauren said, smiling up at me. "I'm glad you have people who have your back."

Huh, maybe Lauren did a little bit of growing in the past couple months too.

"Yea," I spoke cautiously. "You wanna get to the studio?"

"Yes," she said with a smile. "I'm excited to hear this song."

I smiled and went to stand up, realizing I couldn't because Lauren still had her arms around me.

I turned to look at her, freezing when we locked eyes. I didn't dare say a word as she started to lean forward, pressing a kiss to my cheek before getting out of bed.

This girl was going to kill me one day.

-

"I love it," Lauren said as she finished reading the lyrics I had placed in front of her.

"Really?" I asked.

I had been hesitant about giving her the song, but I knew it was exactly her style. The song was unlike anything I had ever wrote, and honestly I don't know where the inspiration for it came from.

"Yes," she laughed. "There's a few things I think I can change to make it more me, but other than that it's perfect."

"I'm really glad you like it," I told her honestly.

Lauren turned to look at me, dropping the notebook and pulling me into a big hug. It took me a second to catch up, but I hugged her back. I missed the physical contact between the two of us.

"I really missed this," Lauren mumbled into my shoulder as we hugged.

"Me too, Lauren," I told the girl, squeezing her lightly.

I really did miss this.
