Eleazar and the others were in the living room, still flustering over a sleeping Harper. Tanya still couldn't believe it. This is actually happening. Two months of preparation, but it was all worth it. She was about to reach for Harper until she felt a sudden burn in her throat. She was thirsty. She spent so much time focused on the adoption, she neglected to hunt. She asks Carmen to watch over Harper.
"Ofcourse." She responds, she's been doting over her since she arrived.
Tanya's inner predator let's itself out. Her eyes are set on a coyote feeding off of a deer carcus.

It raises its ears, pointing all the way up, sensing danger. Can't forget that when animals sense the presence of vampires, they instantly scatter. It attempts to escape, but it was pointless. She runs straight for it, grabs it by its neck, it struggles against her grip. She jams her teeth into its neck, finally satisfying her thirst.
"And I thought I was thirsty."

"Garrett, I didn't see you there."
Garrett is standing against a tree with his arms closed together. He walks towards her with an impressed look in his eyes. "Can't say that I blame you, you were occupied with your meal. How is the little one?"
"She's still asleep."
They run back to the house. Kate was waiting outside, with a huge smile on her face. She walks towards Garrett and gives him sweet a kiss.
"What took you so long?" She asks.
"I was just out on a hunt."
Garrett kisses her again. Tanya roles her eyes, walks back into the house, leaving the two lovers alone. Those two were getting on her last nerves. Harper was still sleeping peacefully. Tanya could not wait for her to wake up, she knows motherhood will be a rocky road, but she's ready for the challenge.
