"Don't let anyone know, keep it secret." My mom would tell me almost every day before school after I turned 16, I'm a junior in high-school now and she still says, it not as much, but she still says it. She would always talk about how if people knew they would try and take me away from her. I can't help but think she's not telling the truth but I never truly questioned it. I've just learned to live with it. I was broke out of my thoughts by my mom shouting.
"Videl! Your going to be late for school!" Charlotte, my mom, yelled up the stairs.
"Coming!" I yelled as I finished putting the last of my makeup on. I rarely wore makeup but I just felt like it today. There wasn't much, just a bit of mascara and concealer. I quickly put my hair up in a messy bun and started walking down the stairs. I slipped my shoes on, grabbed my bag off the shelf, and made my way outside to the car.
"Ready?" My mom said as I sat down in the front seat. I nodded and placed my bag on the floor of the car.
"I heard we are getting some new students sometime this week." Jason, my brother, said as he opened his bag and pulled out last night's homework he didn't do.
"You know it's called homework for a reason right?" I said putting emphasis on the word home.
"Ahh shut up." He said as he tapped my on the head with his pencil.
"Both of you shush. Now about these new students, maybe you'll finally find yourself a boyfriend." Mom said as she took one hand off the wheel and poked my shoulder.
"Why are you like this?" I asked as I rolled my eyes only to look over and seeing my mom silently laughing. "And I don't need a boyfriend, I'm perfectly fine by myself." I said
"Well it was just a thought." Mom said as she laughed slightly.
...
I walked into school and immediately saw my best friend. She always greets me in the morning, and normally has the latest gossip ready for me.
"Did you hear?" Lindsay said as she grabs my arm and shakes it slightly.
"Hear what?" I said confused as to what she's talking about.
"Were getting new students this week, and apparently they are super hot." She said with a big smile on her face.
"I remember my brother mentioning something about it. How many students are we getting?" I asked as I open my locker to shove my bag in.
"Oh, I think we are getting three. Can you believe it, three hot guys Videl, and they don't know us, we have a chance!" She said grabbing my arm again and shaking it more violently this time.
"You do realize that if any hot guys come here they are going to immediately go for Mckayla and her possy. She will make sure of it." I said closing my locker.
"Eh maybe your right, but I still say it won't hurt to try." She said as we started walking to our classes.
"I guess we'll see what happens, see you next period." I said as I walked into my first period calculus class.
I always liked math but boy did calculus wear me out, the teacher was so boring and all we did was one thing all class period. It also doesn't help that I didn't get much sleep so I fell asleep at least twice only to be woken up by a book being slammed on my desk. At least my next period class was better because I got it with Lindsey, and the fact it was our cooking class. Food is one of my best friends honestly.
After about an hour and a half of that torture, I made my way down the hallways to my cooking class. Lindsey is always in there first, considering her class before this is right next door. We sat down at our table and waited for the teachers instructions.
