Chapter Seven
"Double Suicide""Make simple music but significant"
-MaoMy analization about how I cannot let myself concentrate else I'll stop being able to hear myself's play.
With this, I begin to play at a higher tempo, startling the audience and Alisa, causing her to panic and feel like she's being overpowered by me.
This causes her to challenge me in my analization, telling me to "Bring it on!" as she picks up her playing to compete with me.
This amazes the audience as our playing is in perfect harmony and both musicians are able to synchonise with each other and know what they will do next.________
Alisa's analization about how the past two months of practice have paid off, and how I was not the "Robot Machine" that her brother once described me as.She instead remembers the moments we have shared together; my warm hands, the sweet potatoes, our walks home.
She recalls why she started playing the guitar; an "ultimate motivation" to regain her brother's attention, which she lost when I stopped playing the guitar and Ryke began to doubt his hero (Hero describes me).
Alisa then begins to play at an even faster tempo in an attempt to get her brother Ryke to notice her from the crowd and tell him to continue pursuing his hero.
__
At the hospital, Gennie, who can hear our performance on her laptop via a video call from Jetro, begins to imitate singing.Back at the festival, Ryke begins to become frustrated at the fact that he isn't the one on the stage performing, and cannot understand why both Alisa's and Myle's recent performances have begun to move people's hearts, and then questions whether me was the reason.
Alisa realises our performance was about to end and questions whether she played the songs with total sincerity.
She asks herself why the chords that I played are so colourful and vibrant as we finish the song.
"He is the true hero that my brother is stalking about", Alisa whispers and talks herself.
Then at the hospital, Gennie stops imitating our performance and begins to cry.
I prompts Alisa to stand up and take a bow before the audience, who are cheering on us.
Alisa asks me whether I think about her playing reached her "brother", to which I replied that I believe it did.
Alisa also asks whether I managed to give my friend the punch I wanted, to which I also believe I managed it to.
Alisa offers her hand to me, who holds it and takes a bow, much to the dismay her brother Ryke.
Ryke's friend questions whether he will take anything away from his sister's performance, emphasising how Alisa "climb the stairway", despite her brother complex and everything else bothering her.
Ryke cannot bring himself to answer the question.
Backstage, Alisa cheers in relief of the performance being over and is met by applause from her friends.
Myk asks me whether I finds it thrilling to watch someone grow, referring to Alisa.
Alisa asks Myk how she thinks she did, to which she states that life has been interesting every day since both Alisa and I came along.
Ryke appears backstage, grabbing the attention of me who cannot remember his name.
Ryke begins shouting at me for being so close to his little sister, much to the confusion of me, who thought Alisa's last name was "Jordsiasy", not Jords. Alisa refers to me as dense.
Ryke begins to pester me as to why I was performing with his little sister Alisa, and become angry when I refers to Alisa by her first name, stating that I should be referring to her as "Ryke's little sister".
Alisa defended me, stating how I was helped and taught her recently, which Ryke takes the wrong way and declares that he will beat me at the Eastern Mid Guitar Competition in January.
Myk comments about how entry in that competition will be a pain, while Alisa's analization about whether her brother even slightly understood what she was trying to convey through her performance.
_________
The next day, Alisa is confronted by Floyd, who questions why she is so close to me.She becomes annoyed when Floyd does not refer to me with honorific and starts bragging about having my phone number and email address, and about how we are regularly eat lunch together.
__
Over at the hospital, Gennie is on the roof playing "Your Love" on a Ukelele with two children. This is cut short by the appearance of me, who the two children question Gennie about whether I is her boyfriend, to which she denies and states that I am " just a Friend A".
Gennie replays a recording of my performance during the school culture festival and states how it was evil to make a singer listen to it.
Because of that plays, I wanna "commit a duoble suicide" she said. You wanna join and do it together? She asks.
I goes on to state that I cannot commit a "double suicide" with Gennie as I was always been behind her, whether it's carrying her bags while shopping or her always taking the initiative.
I stated that it wouldn't be a double suicide as I would only be following her.
I instead pleads for Gennie to perform a duet with me once again, to which she tries to deny it.
I interrupted, stating that she's not a princess and that she's a regular person who should perform with me once again.
I asks whether she'll forget our past performances, to which Gennie states light-heartedly that I really was a cruel.
I smiled and stated how I thought she already knew I was just a "Friend A".
___
Gennie begins to analization about her surroundings and how I was cruel for making her dream about singing once again. She begins to cry, which causes the children to start attacking me and make her laugh.Heeyy!! Why you make her tears drop?? You make her sad..... '"says the children while attacking me."'
Gennie then reignites her dream to perform alongside with me once again sometime as the chapter ends.
