We've been here for a while now. Zade has been complaining because the assigned security guard won't let us out. Meanwhile, Zade is contacting her busy father.

"Daddy? Daddy! The guard won't let us out. For a minute, I'll put this on speaker."

(Honey, you know the Inspector is there. You can't go outside.)

"We were just gonna have some fun before our afternoon classes start. C'mon daddy. Pretty please? Pretty pretty pretty please?"

(Fine you have my permission to go out in one condition.)

"And what would that be, daddy?"

(Turn off your loudspeaker.)

"Easy." She turned it off and we could no longer hear what his Dad was talking about except Zade. "Now what, Daddy? Hang on a second." Zade turned to me and put the phone leveling her shoulder. "Cassie, I'll be back for a while. I'll be..." She looked around. "...in those bushes. Okay?" She then left and really went to those bushes.

I can't quite hear them but I hear hushed tones. I didn't want to stay here with the security guard so I went back to the passenger seat. I closed my eyes and didn't know that I drifted off to sleep.

•••••

I woke up with the sound of an engine revving. I realized I fell asleep while Zade was talking with her Dad.

"Had a beauty sleep?" Zade said while looking at the road.

"On the road already? What did your father say?"

"I can't tell you. He sent me to do something but you were asleep. I can't bring you to that if you're asleep. I let Hephaestus, my older brother, to tuck you in a bed in our guest room. You were in a deep sleep so I left you there. After I went to Daddy's errand I then fetched you and here we are." She stepped on the accelerator.

"Aren't you gonna be sued when you're off the speed limit?"

"No why?"

"Is it because of your father?"

"Yes, it is. My father owns this city. No one ever saw him except for us and his employees, of course."

"You never get sued? That's unfair."

"Life's unfair, sweetie. But we don't punish a lot of people here. This is a calm and peaceful city."

"So where are we going?"

"To Katceaux. We'll have a meal there."

"Again? How about other shops? And I'm not that hungry. We could just chill at your place, have tea and crumpets."

"You are too formal, Cassie. Where did you learn all of those?"

"My grandmother." I replied sadly.

"Is she..."

"Dead? Yeah, she is. I miss her so much. I haven't been able to visit her."

"Where is she buried? We could visit her, y'know."

"She's buried here. I don't know why she wanted to be buried here. She's in Saint Joseph Memorial Garden."

"What was her name, darling?"

"Her name is Lucille Ivory." She gasped in shock and then regained her composure. I was wondering why she reacted that way. "What's so shocking about that?"

"You are Lucille Ivory's Granddaughter?" She asked. "The Lucille Ivory?"

"Uhm, yeah. Why'd you ask?"
