It took a while, but everyone eventually pulled away from the giant group hug. The crying was replaced with small laughs, and everyone happily returned to their seats.

"You guys are annoying," the Squip said.

"Fuck you, too," Michael smiled, flipping him off.

(The living room. The party is winding down, as RICH moved from guest to guest.)

RICH (SPOKEN)

Rich's smile was quickly wiped off of his face, and he felt his throat start to close up.

(JEREMY finds CHRISTINE on the couch, next to a PASSED-OUT PARTY MONSTER.)

CHRISTINE (SPOKEN)

CHRISTINE (SPOKEN)

Rich cringed and felt his heart burn with jealousy. He readjusted his position on Jake's lap.

Rich's hands began to shake, and his chest felt like it was getting tighter by the second. The one moment in his life that he wanted to forget was being played out right in front of him.

A soft whimper escaped Rich's mouth, and Jake buried the small boys face in the crook of his neck.

(Beat. CHRISTINE and JEREMY stare at him. Then burst out laughing.)
