(JEREMY and MICHAEL in the mall food court. Examining the pill.)

JEREMY (SPOKEN)
I hope you're worth four hundred dollars.

MICHAEL (SPOKEN)
Four hundred and one. Don't forget the Mountain Dew.

"Big difference," Jeremy laughed.

JEREMY (SPOKEN)
If this is real...my whole life could change. (Beat.) We should split it. You helped me get it. We should both benefit, right?

MICHAEL (SPOKEN)
I don't think it works that way. Besides, I like knowing that when you're cool, you'll owe me.

Michael frowned, knowing that his wish never came true, and now it never would.

JEREMY (SPOKEN)
All right. Here goes...everything.

Rich waited for Michael to make a joke, but he noticed that Michael, once again, looked slightly out of it. Hoping to get him out of his trance, Rich made the joke for him.

"Heere goeth everything!"

Michael jumped slightly, but smiled over at Rich as Jeremy groaned. Rich laughed and smiled back.

(He puts the pill on his tongue, swallows it with the Mountain Dew.)

Jeremy and Rich grimaced. They both remembered that moment so vividly, and they both knew the train of events that would follow.

MICHAEL (SPOKEN)
How does it taste?

JEREMY (SPOKEN)
Minty.

MICHAEL (SPOKEN)
How do you feel?

JEREMY (SPOKEN)
Like... (Long pause.) A chump.

MICHAEL (SPOKEN)
Nothing? At all? Try to say something cool.

Chloe snickered. "That's probably the stupidest way to determine if it worked.

"Do you have a better idea?" Michael retorted. He definitely wasn't in the mood to argue, especially considering what was about to happen.

"Well, no. But-"

"Exactly."

Everyone was surprised by Michael's harsh tone. He was normally so playful and laid back. But now, he looked and sounded like he wanted to kill someone, that someone most likely being the Squip.
