"Kiss you?" Zach inhaled a sharp breath in, feeling slightly threatened by Fandy's sudden demand. "Are you sure?"
"Definitely." Fandy, on the other hand, was not sure at all. "Do it. Kiss me."
Slowly, achingly slowly, Zach leaned in. He had kissed so many people before, but this was... different. With Fandy everything felt more important. Including this very moment.
Zach was slow, positioning himself in the exact position before finally completing the space. When his lips touched Fandy's, it seemed that an explosion happened, both their bodies shifting and moving as they leaned in and out of the kiss. It only lasted for about ten seconds, but when Zach pulled away, Fandy was breathless, eyes wide open, with trembling hands wondering why he hadn't done that sooner.
"Was that alright?" Zach asked, and Fandy burst out into a huge grin.
"That was more than alright!" He said, then tilted his head back against the headboard, still out of breath. "I never expected it to be like that."
Zach turned back to the computer screen, not really caring what was going on. "It isn't usually like that."
"Really?"
"For me, anyway." Zach smiled, turning back to Fandy. "It never feels that... real."
Fandy glanced at him, but quickly regained his shy demeanour. "I liked it."
They watched the movie in comfortable silence for a few more minutes, both men thinking about the kiss and the next step.
Zach decided to play an old trick that was guaranteed to always work. He reached his arms up like he was yawning, then, smoothly placed them both back down. Only this time, he wrapped one around Fandy's broad shoulders, pulling him in.
Fandy bit his lip, smiling widely. He leaned his head against Zach's chest, making himself comfortable enough that he could watch the rest of the movie like that, snuggled in Zach's arm.

Fandy's eyes opened when he felt a soft hand stroking his cheek. He immediately saw Zach, smiling down at him gently. "You fell asleep." He laughed slightly.
Fandy sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Sorry."
"It's alright. I don't really care." Zach unhooked his arm from Fandy's shoulder, stretching it out. "I just like being with you."
Fandy smiled for a second, but floated back to reality quickly. "What time is it?"
"Nine-thirty." Zach replied. "What time do you have class tomorrow?" He wanted to ask if Fandy was sleeping over, but he couldn't risk Fandy saying no and going home.
"Eight." Fandy stood up, stretching his hands over his head, which exposed a strip of bare skin on his stomach. "Is your bathroom over there?" He motioned with his head down the hallway.
"Yeah." Zach pursed his lips together, realizing what this meant: Fandy was sleeping over.
Zach hadn't had a bedmate in a long time, let alone someone he genuinely liked and wanted to be official with. When Fandy took his overnight bag and went into the bathroom, Zach took the time to clean up a little, fluffing the pillows and checking under the covers to make sure there was nothing odd. Although he had tidied up before, (and his room was usually fairly clean), he wanted to make sure. He didn't want anything to go wrong, especially not with Fandy.
Zach was locking the bedroom door when Fandy came out of the bathroom, dressed in a loose-hanging hoodie and boxer shorts. Zach raised one eyebrow provocatively, making Fandy's tan skin flush red.
"Nice shorts."
"Thanks." Fandy smirked, then motioned to the bathroom. "You can get ready now."
"You can get in and try to fall asleep." Zach said, feeling suddenly like he had to be the host. "I'll join you in a few minutes." Fandy nodded, and they brushed shoulders as they passed each other.
Fandy pulled the covers back, sliding his bare feet in and and relaxing. Unlike himself, Zach had brought sheets from home, which meant they were soft and comfortable instead of rough, and slightly scratchy.
It was a twin bed, quite small, especially for two almost full grown men, but Fandy knew they would make it work. He didn't want to sleep anywhere else.
He turned to the side that would face Zach, his back turned to the bathroom, and tried to fall asleep. That electric feeling that had been left on his lips after Zach's kiss was gone, and he was aching for another. A goodnight kiss.
Zach was almost silent, padding across the carpeted floor, trying not to disturb Fandy, who he assumed was sleeping.
He turned off the lamp, then crawled under the covers, pulling them up to his neck. The window was open instead of covered by blinds, and the starlight lit up the shallows in Fandy's face.
Zach faced him, staring but not touching. Fandy's back moved up and down with his telexed breaths, his mouth closed. Zach's hand ached to trace across those lips, smooth over that cheekbone, but he wouldn't. Fandy had class tomorrow.
Suddenly, Fandy's eyes opened, then closed. Zach took that moment to reach out, touching that face like he so desperately wanted to. "You're still awake?"
Fandy opened his eyes again, nodding. Zach smiled.
"I didn't get a goodnight kiss." Fandy pouted, the most adorable face Zach had ever seen anyone make.
"I can fix that." He whispered, then moved his hand down to Fandy's bicep, stabilizing himself there. That's when he leaned in and kissed him.
Fandy breathed through his nose, then began to take a bigger step. He moved his mouth against Zach's, turning his head slightly to kiss at a different angle. When Fandy pulled away, Zach grinned. "That gonna put you to sleep?"
"Definitely." Fandy replied, then closed his eyes again.
Zach couldn't believe how simple it was.
