Fandy made the decision himself. Today, he would skip all classes, spending the whole day with Zach, visiting Zach's favourite spots in Taipei.
He woke up without an alarm on a Thursday. This was crazy! He was wrapped up in Zach's arms, a face nuzzled softly against his shoulder, and everything felt like a cheesy romance novel.
And he was skipping class. For the first time ever.
Zach's face moved, and Fandy felt an arm slither across his stomach. His t-shirt had ridden up during the night, and Zach's fingers were warm as they brushed against freezing skin.
"Good morning, baby." Zach punctuated the sentence with a soft kiss to the back of Fandy's neck. "How was your sleep?"
"Good." Fandy responded, moving down to squeeze Zach's hand. He kissed up and down a neck, then along a shoulder, leaving a line of wet heat wherever his mouth touched. It began to tickle, so Fandy turned himself around quickly, putting both hands on Zach's cheeks. "If you keep doing that, we're gonna have to spend the whole day here."
His voice was sultry and seductive when he spoke. "Save that confidence for tonight, Fandy." Zach kissed his forehead, then rolled out of bed.
Fandy puzzled over Zach's words for only a second, but Zach spoke once more, making him break out in a grin. "I'll make you breakfast. Go get dressed."
They left at ten, walking to Zach's dorm to pick up his car. He rarely used it, as it was hard to write down observations about what he saw while he was driving. But this way, they could be alone at the end of the day, and not have to worry about loud older people on the bus ride home.
Their first stop was the Taipei botanical gardens, which Zach went semi-regularly to sit and write his ideas. The atmosphere was highly relaxing, and he already knew Fandy would love it.
Zach parked his car, and they stepped out, immediately linking hands once the chance was offered. Fandy had never dreamed of a relationship with so much PDA. He had always imagined himself as composed in public, even with someone he really really liked. But Zach made everything change, made him want to cling and kiss and touch all the time. Was it like this with everyone? Or if he was with someone different, would everything be unique?
Zach smiled. There was a few couples also walking, older ones. One of the things he loves about Taiwan is the fact that gay couples were now being normalized. There was even chat about a law being passed that would allow couples to marry.
Zach swung his arm a bit thinking about this. A few months ago, he would have believed that being in a relationship with a guy was useless. If he had a choice, like bisexuality, then he would chose the easiest option. But now, things were different. Now there was Fandy, who made him feel so much different than any boy or girl before. Fandy, who he would protect from anyone. Fandy, so precious and cute and innocent it sometimes made him squeal.
"Zach, look!" Fandy let go of their intertwined hands, running up a bridge and pointing to the water underneath. "Ducks!"
Zach laughed from off the bridge, watching him with hearts shining in his eyes. He sat down at a nearby bench, taking out his black notebook and beginning to write anything and everything that came to his mind about Fandy.
-soft haired, gentle
-loving
-easy touch, easy on the eyes
-kissable lipsFandy turned his attention away from the ducks and began to walk towards Zach. He sat down on the bench close to him, pressing them together shoulder to shoulder, thigh to thigh.
"Zach, why do you always have that notebook out?"
Zach looked up, at Fandy. He gazed at kissable lips, at soft hair. Fandy's every touch was gentle and easy, and not to mention that he was easy on the eyes. Zach had never told anyone about his notebook before. It was his little thing. There, he had written the good and the bad he had witnessed, saving it for a time he could get it down on larger paper.
"It's my writing book." He said, closing it and gazing at the cover. "When I see something I feel I need to write in a story somewhere, I write it down. I always have it out just in case."
"Let me see what you were writing about me." Fandy reaches out and grabs the notebook before Zach can react, opening it to the most recent page. Zach watched his face carefully as he read the words.
Fandy handed the notebook back, barely giving him time to put it away before he kissed him, sucking at his bottom lip. Fandy released, pecking Zach once more before standing back up.
"I think that means you like my notes?" Zach said, standing up alongside him. "But I'm not quite sure. Show me again?"
Fandy shook his head, kissing Zach again. "You're such a tease, Zach-ie."
"Only for you." Zach took his hand, leading him over the bridge and towards a pond full of blooming Lilly pads, which they gazed at with wide eyes.
